The Owl
Make your choice. For Me It was a close choice between La Villa, and Main Monkey. But I went MMB. It just hits me, this is the instrumental you strive to make. I only included instrumental that have appeared on studio albums only. So the r30 overture, Broon's Bane, and Niel's Drum solos are not included.
mortkort
right now its La Villa, but when ive heard the three new instrumentals some more maybe itll change.

wordsmith
I like MMB a lot, but La Villa for me is the benchmark. I like it when they show off!
coolema
LaVilla for me too. The new material is awesome, but I like that instrumental better. Damn, that was a hard decision!
ILSnwdog
YYZ is still the king, but TMMB and MalNar are the best ones since YYZ. I'm really impressed by them.

Finbar
La Villa Strangiato gets my vote... I really disagree with these sections of larger non-instrumental songs being classified as entire instrumentals.
BruceMcc
My list looks like: 1. YYZ 2. LaVilla Strangiato 3. The Main Monkey Business 4. Malignant Narcissism 5. Where's My Thing 6. Limbo 7. Leave That Thing Alone 8. Hope Why is "Hope" so low? Don't get me wrong, I think very highly of it (same for all of these instrumentals actually), but in this company I feel that I cannot position it any higher. maxdistortion
La Villa..totally. YYZ is a close second...and other than that--its kinda a long tie. I loved Wheres my Thing but Monkey Business might take the 3rd slot!

SirBeastalot
no brainer. la villa. yyz close second, nothing else compares...the others are all good (i was surprised, i didn't think i was going to like the s&a ones, but they are pretty good), but that was rush's glory days in my mind. WorkingMark
I'm surprised to see no votes for MalNar. Though I didn't vote for it myself, it is the f-ing jam. The bassline is awesome, and FRETLESS, to boot!

MrHands
I'll have to go with YYZ with LVS second & MMB a close third.

Frankie7
QUOTE (WorkingMark @ May 8 2007, 04:48 PM) I'm surprised to see no votes for MalNar. Though I didn't vote for it myself, it is the f-ing jam. The bassline is awesome, and FRETLESS, to boot! Well, I almost went with MalNar, but La Villa is after all THE tune that REALLY got me into , and that's got to count for something! I love Malignant Narcissism, though, it's a sexy little piece of music, really! But not as much as La Villa! So what did you vote for?
GoddessInTheirGarden
1. LVS from Rush In Rio---Lerxst's onstage "rant". 2. MalNar---the boys get funky with their bad selves! 3. Hope---GORGEOUS acoustic arrangement! 4. Leave That Thing Alone---Go Ged Go!!
