I had to play keyboards and sing, neither of which a specialty. I basically transposed the bass guitar part in my head. It was fun. where did you perform this At my church's Vacation Bible School It was a instrument day. What that has to do with Jesus, I don't know. maybe you should have done faithless instead NOT! Hey I played Rush on my church's organ during music camp! It was AWESOME!!!

Xanadu93 Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 QUOTE (rushringleader @ Jun 26 2008, 06:05 PM) You actually aspire to be able to sing "Torn Apart" in tune. When I was about 6 years old I could. Now I use a falsetto, and I sound... well, like a cat being slowly murdered with its claws scraping a chalkboard. I also sound like that on The Temples of Syrinx! Anyways...... When you listened to the entire discography, and then realized that you are having an epiphany that RUSH F*CKING RULES! And these lyrics below are giving me that epiphany! "Do we have to be forgiving at last? What else can we do? Do we have to say goodbye to the past? Yes, I guess we do....."
Choose/the/light Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 yea, every once in a while i'm just listening to a song and i just think to myself, "Rush is the fricking best band on the planet, no contest." some of there songs, its amazing, when i notice something new in a song i have heard hundreds of times, its crazy Awsome

edgyspice Posted June 29, 2008 Posted June 29, 2008 When you keep wanting to call a local Japanese restaurant "Mizu 2112" instead of Mizu 212.
rushringleader Posted June 30, 2008 Posted June 30, 2008 You ask your parents why are we here and never get an answer, only RTB referances.

doublereeder Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 When you see a motor cycle, and you automatically check to see if it's Neil.
rcbassist39 Posted July 3, 2008 Posted July 3, 2008 1. You somehow got much better at bass from listening to Rush (swear to God it happened) 2. You will choose freewill 3. You ask your english teacher to play Tom Saywer when reading huck finn 4. You get your religion teacher to play freewill in class. 5. You believe that Geddy doesnt sing like a girl, but girls sing like Geddy (i cant take credit for that, i read that on youtube) i really hope some of these arent up yet
GeddysMullet Posted July 18, 2008 Posted July 18, 2008 When you're on a road trip thinking about finding a rest stop, and when you see a sign that says "Next rest-stop 20 miles" you think "Oh, good, just enough time for me to finish listening to this song before I get there!"
nettiesaur Posted July 18, 2008 Posted July 18, 2008 When your brother(also a Rush fan) doesn't think you know that Rush is on the Colbert show, and calls you!
rushringleader Posted July 21, 2008 Posted July 21, 2008 You can no longer listen to By Tor without laughing and thinking of The Colbert Report.
Xanadu93 Posted August 4, 2008 Posted August 4, 2008 When the words "Tom Sawyer" are mentioned, even in class discussing the book, you tune out the world and listen to Tommy S in your head! I know I did...
fledgehog Posted August 4, 2008 Author Posted August 4, 2008 QUOTE (The_Juke @ Jul 31 2008, 12:39 AM) When you name your son Neil Alexander Lee and your last name isn't even lee
TwoOneOneTwo Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 When you prefer Jack DeJohnette and Bill Bruford over Neil, but you adore Rush more than The Keith Jarrett Trio and Yes/Earthworks/Crimson/any other project Bill's been in!
PanaceaFish Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 When you plaster pix of Rush on one entire wall of your college dorm room (believe me, I have done this!!!), or ANY room, for that matter...
gypsy_owl Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 When you've translated the lyrics of an obscure Rush song (Madrigal, Between Sun and Moon, etc) into a foreign language...for fun...
