  1. Setlist works for me--glad to see it posted. Thanks!
  2. From the link: QUOTE Last year we asked our readers to vote for their favorite prog rock bands of all time, and the response was overwhelming. Thousands of votes poured in, and Rush won by a landslide. http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/wee...0#ixzz21YNDHOPf
  3. I haven't been here in a while..hello, everybody! I made this for all of us. Please share freely! http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i301/Imperatrix62/Rush%20Stuff/KeepCalmForLerxst.jpg
  4. I had to vote for Benny Goodman because I'm related to Louis Prima, and therefore La Cosa Nostra AND my nonna, Maria Immacolata Radosti, would have my ass in a sling if I didn't.
  5. I think I should be kept in a cage.

HERETIC!!!! Right, because all prog all the time is the best way to enjoy music Canute, I could love you for that. In fact, I do love you for that. So where's your top 3 of something? edit: No but seriously, have you heard Funny Ways? Yes, and I call it "Progboy's Lament"... Uh-oh....!

  9. Yes, I have a comment: this is, by far, more entertaining than Fly From Here.

  11. QUOTE (oldphilly @ Jul 8 2010, 07:28 PM) "really? Is there actually someone out there who is such an extreme snob that they get pissed off by someone not playing an AIR instrument the "right" way? I guess it's likely there is, but I never want to meet that person." "Our fans are really something else" Geddy Lee I guess so. But I would never presume to play air drumkit, air bass, or air guitar---as I do not play those instruments. However, I am all over air keyboards of any variety, air African/Middle Eastern percussion and air classical grand Salvi Electra harp, as I do play those instruments. I'm one freak b!tch on the zills, yo.
  12. QUOTE (mong82191 @ Jul 8 2010, 04:37 PM) QUOTE (librarian @ Jul 8 2010, 05:53 PM) as long as people aren't air Key-taring, everything's fine. If someone did that, I might just kill them. That should be a rule: No Key-taring at a Rush show or you will be mercilessly killed by Geddy, Alex and Neil together!!! And Rick Wakeman and Gary Wright. And me.
  13. I'm so sorry, alla youse who had tickets, but it's better to be safe than burned to a crisp! I hope your show is rescheduled and your seats honored.
  14. QUOTE (nettiesaur @ Jul 6 2010, 09:36 AM) QUOTE (TwoOneOneTwo @ Jul 4 2010, 05:18 PM) I really must have this. http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4093/4762272988_c6e8cc5d09.jpg I heard back from the person. The design is no longer available. Someone from another forum made it, put it on Zazzle, and it was pulled. She has no idea why. Sorry I couldn't help you out. Thanks, Nettiesaur, for giving it yer best shot! Yeah...I can see why it was pulled. But---oh, what a great shirt!

  16. Oh, and I have a present for everyone...don't know if you've seen this yet: I've watched it twice, and the only words I have heard are "wet" and "dirty" and "spread".
  17. QUOTE (Janie @ Jul 2 2010, 11:55 AM) QUOTE (TwoOneOneTwo @ Jul 2 2010, 11:48 AM) QUOTE (Janie @ Jul 2 2010, 11:42 AM) QUOTE (TwoOneOneTwo @ Jul 1 2010, 10:37 AM) I love all of us here! Why can't we design some sort of Lerxst Lovers t-shirt/swag? baxtrice would be perfect for creating Lerxst Lovers swag! But she's taking one heck of a TRF sabbatical. Bummer. I just get the ideas, but I can't execute 'em...waaah.... Well, let's sketch out some designs. We may come up with something pretty good! Remember the inspiration... Alex. Could we somehow get away with going through this thread and finding the best shots to use on the front of a shirt, and then have our names added to the back, including "TRF Lerxst Fangirls" or something like that---much like the banner? I'm sorry---I'm not very imaginative. But I can cook like a mofo.
  18. QUOTE (Tarkus407 @ Jul 5 2010, 06:34 PM) QUOTE (lerxt1990 @ Jul 5 2010, 01:15 AM) QUOTE (sullysue @ Jul 5 2010, 01:08 AM) QUOTE (lerxt1990 @ Jul 5 2010, 12:06 AM) QUOTE (sullysue @ Jul 5 2010, 12:36 AM) Wow! You "don't sing loudly or badly, please," people would have HA-T-ED to have been within 5 rows of me and GG during the OK City show for the last tour. We were loud, and annoying, and had the best time of our lives. And, I refuse to apologize for my over-enjoyment when I'm at a Rush show. I am an UBER fan, and I don't need to "tone it down" for anything. Come on....!!!!! These are my guys!!! Imagine being at a football game (or whatever your sport passion is) and having the guy behind you saying, "Excuse me, keep your enthusiasm to a minimum, please. You are inhibiting my enjoyment of our team kicking ass." The problem is, its hard to enjoy music when someone who is nearly tone-deaf is screaming in your ear. Im not trying to be a kill joy here - but it is a concert and screaming of the like that was in the OPs clip would take the enjoyment out of hearing the song to me. In your analogy, itd be like an enthused fan behind me putting his hands over my eyes during a touchdown.... Ok. Well. Whatever. I'm just sayin'... I wouldn't EVER cover a person's eyes during a touchdown, by the way. That's just mean and uncalled for. I do have my standards, sir. But I will say this - I will take enthused screaming over someone standing mute and motionless or worse SITTING during the show (esp towards front). Ive seen people standing like statues at shows and wonder why they bother! Well now wait a minute. You're saying that it bothers you when someone sits at a Rush concert? That's ridiculous. My father loves Rush and really enjoys going to the concerts, but guess what..he SITS for the entire show and watches them perform. He doesn't stand up and scream and yell and freak out, that's not the kind of person he is. Doesn't mean he's not totally loving the show...and it sure as hell should NOT bother you! I tend to sit down for a little while during the concerts, too. Not because I'm bored or disliking the song, because my feet hurt and I want a rest. Big deal. I can still hear. Most of the time if I'm sitting, it's because the people behind me are sitting, and I don't want to be rude or discourteous to them since I'm very tall. But ya know what? I don't mind. Sorry :::shaking fist::: Don't make me love you, dammit! I'm already married!!!!
  19. Another thing I hate is when people clap on 1 and 3, rather than on 2 and 4.
