  1. Before I go ('till tomorrow), here's some hand drawn pictures I've done over the past few months: http://i157.photobucket.com/albums/t65/Legolas27/smallergeddystreetclothes2.jpg http://i157.photobucket.com/albums/t65/Legolas27/geddypermenantwavessmaller.jpg I only had two colors of colored pencils in this one, that's why his shirt is orange... http://i157.photobucket.com/albums/t65/Legolas27/smallergeddy70scrying.jpg I feel bad that I made him cry...I can't even remember why I drew tears on him now. Oh well. http://i157.photobucket.com/albums/t65/Legolas27/smallergeddyjolteon.jpg The aura around him made sense in the rest of the picture. It looks a little weird separate. But still, it seems fitting for him to have a halo, no? Despite me having the drawing skills of a monkey, I'm proud of how these ones turned out. But I have newer, betterer ones to scan once I get around to it. Carry on!
  2. QUOTE (Jaye @ Aug 26 2009, 05:34 PM)http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v250/Jett_Moonwing/Geddy148.jpg I haven't seen this pic before. I like it a lot. It just begs to be drawn, or painted, or...something. Good job whoever found it! PS-- I also love it whenever I see a Geddy pic from "Getty" images.

Sorry that it's been so long since I logged on last. I could come up with excuses, but hey. I'm back for the time being, and that's what matters. I see this thread is in trouble. I'll empty my (small, but sincere) collection of pics to help! --Gypsy~ And welcome back to you as well! Cheers for joining in and helping - great pics too! No prob: we need all the help we can get!
  4. That's all I've got on my photobucket--well, at least I gave us a new page. Geddy's so handsome.

  12. My vote has to go for 70s Geddy. I will agree though that he does look really good in all the other eras, but being pretty young myself I think it makes some sense that I see his younger self as most attractive. I love how long his hair was, and I adore how his voice sounded back then. And for me at least, I always thought a man in a kimono was irresistibly alluring. However if I had to pick another era, I would actually say 90s. The whole band looked great during Counterparts and Test for Echo.

I wouldn't mind a bit of Vitamin Peart.. ...I can't believe I just said that... What on earth would Geddy say, young lady?? Sorry Ged, couldn't help myself.. I'm feeling a little guilty too. I figure I'm officially a Geddy/Neil fangirl now. Fantastic pics, rnrgal!

This totally reminds me of something that happened about a month ago in band class! It was at the end, and I had a few minutes to just play whatever on my flute before I had to put it away. So I decided to play part of Hemispheres (the "And all at once the chaos ceased..." bit). Once I finished one of the music teachers looked over to me and said, "That song was in 4/7! I've never heard of a song written in 4/7! Where on Earth did you learn that?" There's no such time as 4/7. Sure she didnt say 7/4? Maybe he did, I've always sucked at understanding and remembering time-signatures, so yeah, that very well could be what he said.

Great minds and all that. Wow. I didn't even suspect that would reference anything at all. Glad I made someone happy, though! Oh, and Vampire, I love the Spock animation in your signature!

They are marketing it like an action flick and I just do not understand the Stingray opening. When I first saw the trailer, I thought since it was bootleg that the opening scene must be of a commercial for a different movie, until the kid says his name. Oh boy. I agree with you on this. It doesn't seem 'retro' enough for me. Looks more like an action movie than a sci fi. I am going to remain optimistic, but the trailer disappoints me a little - too sleak and marketed. And what's up with the action-jackson music? I agree with you on all points. It does look too sleek and too action oriented, but like you I'm trying to stay positive and Nimoy's appearance at the end of that most recent trailer really helps. But however the movie ends up turning out, I will be happy because it seems to have even already peaked some peoples interest in Star Trek (The Original Series in particular) that wouldnt have paid it any attention otherwise. Agreed! After this discussion, I looked on the internet and found that CBS is streaming all of the original episodes for free. Maybe somebody has posted this, but it was new info to me. http://www.cbs.com/classics/star_trek/ I don't know if anyone else has posted it either, but that's great either way. A friend of mine has been watching the series that way, I have the DVDs though so I don't need it. Youtube also has a few full-length episodes they put up to test a new format. http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=20048A7C541C941C Are these the digitally "remastered" episodes? Some of them are the remastered. The Carbomite Maneuver and Where No Man Has Gone Before is for sure. Haven't checked to see if there are others. Most of them aren't, but a few remastered versions are online. Yay, a thread about Star Trek!
