  1. My significant other had a horrible experience with their customer service and it took several weeks to get it resolved. I'm really disappointed with the new merch management. I wanted the 'Farewell to Kings' hoodie forever, but the original "limited edition" one that was available for nearly a decade. I adore the one my SO got, as it was a gift and I love him, it's really just a cheap hoodie.
  2. Force Ten The Pass Losing It Ghost Rider Witch Hunt Dreamline Bravado ... Basically ditto'd a lot of other folks and added Force Ten. There's something almost nostalgic about it - it reminds me of summer and the serenity that comes with a thunderstorm. One of my favorites.
  3. I saw on Twitter that the Rock and Roll HOF put up a tribute at the museum today. It's small, but it's something; don't know if they have the huge blown up mural-sized pic of the guys up, though. I believe it was the hat and a few pieces from the Clockwork Angels tour. My boyfriend and I wanted to take an overnighter to visit, especially since they have The Wall back up now (it wasn't there when we went in spring of 2017). We can't afford it for Valentine's Day like we were planning, so I hope it's there for the long haul.
  4. Donna is a class act and a wonderful friend to Rush; her statement about Neil's passing was wonderfully written and a beautiful tribute.
  5. The closest I'm aware of is the pin sold with the Time Machine Tour pin set. I had a set, but I believe my Starman broke from wearing it on my backpack when I was in school. :( https://www.amazon.com/Rush-Time-Machine-Button-Pin/dp/B0783188Z5 (For reference; unfortunately, it's unavailable.)
  6. A library-owned copy of Ghost Rider I accidentally held onto too long which resulted in my mom paying for the book in addition to all of the fines.
  7. Then why does it say here that 'photographs are only allowed from the signing line' under view details? I think fans should take a 'print out' of this with them to show security that it says photographs are allowed. Photos are allowed from the line. But, if you're next in line (essentially no longer in line because you're next and each person gets 30 seconds or less) holding up everyone else because you're taking candids of your buddy, I see why they would try to knock that off. I think each venue has different sense of leniency on that; a friend at the previous signing had a much better set of photos. It's also not a photo-based meet and greet, I paid face value of the book and got a free autograph and a few candid pics from it. Some cons/events charge $175+ for similar interactions, so I'm not too bent out of shape about it.
  8. Update! I just went to Chicago last night and probably made a huge, giggly idiot out of myself. I don't even think I mentioned music once other than being made to play bassoon over bass. Thank god he meets 600+ people at these events because he won't even remember what I'm over analyzing today. This is the first time I've been genuinely starstruck. He will write out additional requests written on the post-it. I had a short line of lyrics "an air of joie de vivre" and he accidentally wrote "devivre" and apologized saying it was "a bit of writing". He was incredibly nice about it, extremely laid back - and I thanked him profusely. As long as it's short and you're not a dick about it, he seems to be happy to add some flair. Security was really tight and didn't allow the person behind us to hold up phones or cameras. That doesn't seem to be the case at other places, but don't count on being able to get yourself in a candid. Overall, it was a fun event and I would totally pay for it again.
  9. From what the 1 person I know who went one said, your back and forth will consist of him asking your name and you telling him. He'll sign, say thank you and you'll be ushered out. 10 seconds with him, tops. Kinda what I figured. Ah well. I'd kick myself for not going, even if it's just 10 seconds. I bought a ticket for Chicago as soon as they went live. Doing the same in Philly. I hope you get a good photo! I'm in a Rush FB group where 7 or 8 people have gone to the signings. Geddy looks pretty happy in many of them. I think the photo of "fan standing while Geddy signs their book" is expected by now, it's just that he's behind a table and can't hold up the line for repeated photos. In some places a store employee has been nice enough to take photos, in others, people ask the person behind them in line to take one. I'm not sure about the friend without a ticket, I would call the store and ask. My husband is coming with me to Philly and the Bookstore there said he can accompany me in the store but not all the way into the book signing area. Oh sweet! This is so helpful! I'm heading by the bookstore today; I'll have to pop my head in and ask. Thanks for your insight! :) I hope you have a great time at the Philly signing!

  11. Has anyone done one of his signings? I'm not expecting a photo (even though I've seen people break that rule and it's never looked like a happy photo on Ged's end), but I'd appreciate a little back and forth. I was also looking to get a very short lyric written with the book autograph for a tattoo (I have 3 Rush tats already, one being Cinderella Man lyrics on my ribcage) - I'm not sure how flexible he is during these things or if it's up to him. Maybe there's more flexibility when you're there towards the front of the line? Also, don't want to pay the extra $100 to have someone wait with me and video the signing from the side - have stores been letting people in the store while he's there? This once highly unlikely dream of mine is happening next week and just want to know how to maximize my very short amount of time during it.
  12. Hey look it's PEG BUNDY!!! ;) And don't you forget it! :P http://i.imgur.com/SYKLwq5.png (For those out of the loop, Halloween circa 2009, I was Peg Bundy.)
  13. http://i.imgur.com/yCQEJCQ.png My first picture in here. :hi: I finally dyed my hair pink (the second half, anyway) after five years of wanting to!
  14. Got in the DVD? That doesn't sound very comfortable! Someone help him out!! :P
  15. Schucks! Don't mind at all, thanks! :) Aw man, what a horrible experience that must have been! Us Illinois folk are the worst.
  16. Drug addiction is an awfully difficult illness to cure. I'm blessed to still have the people in my life who have had a history with drugs; been clean for some time. One of my professors just spent the weekend in LA collaborating with some of the directors Mr. Hoffman worked with, and they said they couldn't remember the last time he had been completely clean. Such a sad story, he was such a wonderful talent. RIP.
  17. So, in 2008 I decided to join TRF and found myself in the chat nearly every night. In said chat, I befriended Katie (Kid_Gloves aka Mrs. Tarkus406) and a few others (Phil, Tarkus, Christine, Limey, Goob (and his radio show!), etc.). Anyway, she became one of my best friends. We exchanged phone numbers, added each other on Facebook, and have remained just as close as we were in 2008. For those of you reading, it is 2014. That's a lot of friendship. That's a lot longer than most friendships. We always dreamt up situations of visiting each other, but we were never able to make it happen. Katie texted me a few months ago saying her husband was seeing a concert close to my apartment in Chicago. I offered up my two couches for them to crash on and excitedly counted down the days until we could meet. Welp, today was finally the day. I was afraid this would end up like an episode of Catfish (Google it!) but it did not! We've had a great time, and I'm making plans to visit their neck of the woods in June. http://i.imgur.com/OApBdEc.png (That's me on the left and Katie/Kid_Gloves/Mrs. Tarkus406 on the right!)
  18. Awesome tattoos, man! I just got my first tattoo, let alone a Rush tattoo a couple of days ago. Best of luck on your search, we ladies who enjoy great music and great ink are rare finds. ;)
  19. Thanks, guys! I learned the hard way the last year of high school (took some college level classes, including physics!) you have to have just the right mixture of fun and studying. College has a different element of freedom, but I plan on sticking to the same principles. It's been a goal of mine to prove that my generation isn't just wasted youth, so I'll be spending four years as a drama major. And WOO to the fellow freshmen. WOO! P.S. Don't worry, my fallback plan is to teach speech or some kind of theatrical course. My parents about had a heart attack when they found out I was going for a liberal arts school. I'll keep those interested posted.
