Jack Aubrey
Hello ladies, Recently I've been noticing that Video Vertigo is starting to have a 'boys club' vibe. The participation in there is about 80% male. I realize that it is at least partly my fault because when it comes to movies that skew to the female demographic, I tend to gloss over them simply because I'm not that interested in them, preferring instead to focus on comedies and action films ('noisy boy's movies', as my wife calls them). As a conscientous moderator, I am prepared to change that but I thought I'd poll your opinions first. If you think that the forum is good to go as is, then cool. If you'd like to see more focus on movies that skew to the female demographic, let me know and I'll do my best to make it happen. Thanks in advance for your opinions and insights. -Dave

Rolinda Bonz
The 80% male participation is also reflected in the results of the Age and Sex poll as it stands today. 21.27% female 78.73% male

Me3 chik flicks I think this must be the personality profile of female Rush fans: No super soppy, mushy chick flicks for us. Our friends are all very smart and philosophical ( ). We all feel Video Vertigo is fine just like it is. Jack Aubrey is cool. (Funny thing is, my favorite movie of all time is Franco Zefferelli's "Romeo and Juliet." Beautiful interpretation of one of the most amazing love stories of all time. I still get teary when I watch it. And, I've seen it about 50 times. No joke.) keneticdreamer
Can't stand chick flicks. Very dull, uninspired and not even remotely funny. (The ones that are billed as "Romantic Comedies.") They should be banned.
Alien Girl
Yeah, I'm not real big on them either^^^. They, for the most part, just make me roll my eyes. If we go to the movies, I usually let my husband pick, knowing he'll pick something we're both into. I do, however, have a soft spot for Jane Austen 'type' movies....sigh... I think I'm pretty girly in that respect.. And no, my husband does not partake in them with me, but he doesn't mind because he knows he'll probably get lucky afterwards. Alsgalpal
I like very few ChickFlicks. My favorite Genre is what Gone in 60 Seconds belongs to, as well as comedy.
