I met the hottest woman I've ever seen two nights ago at a bar in Asheville. She came up to me and asked to bum a cigarette, and after some conversation we ended up dancing the night away together to the local band "Sons of Ralph".

 

Now . . . would I normally rate her as the "hottest woman ever"? Answer: no. I had noticed her earlier, as an attractive woman, but it was only when we started interacting together that her attractiveness turned into extreme beauty. Her personality was the difference, taking her from "quite attractive" to "hottest woman ever" at least for that moment in time.

 

All of this is to say that "appearance" is highly subjective, and can be changed in perception (going either up or down) by other factors such as personality. Just as this woman's physical attractiveness (which was already considerable) was amplified by her personality once I got to know her a bit, I have known women who were at first glance physically beautiful but quickly became unnattractive as soon as I started interacting with them.

 

Just thought I would throw that into this thread.
