LA Woman sounds great, but the material isn't as interesting overall as some of the other albums, imo.

 

Riders on the Storm is an achievement

L.A. Woman has too many iconic songs. Morrison Hotel is just a hair below it. But "splitting hairs," really applies at this point.

 

Outside of the title track and the final track, what other songs would be iconic?

 

(Note: This is a different discussion for me is side 1 was as good as side 2.)

Love Her Madly and The WASP.

"Too commercial." Translation: "Real fans," don't like it because it doesn't allow them to show people that they're really into the band and know the more obscure stuff.

 

It's on their greatest hits albums, all 50 of them, because it resonated with people. And since it's well known it is, by definition, "iconic."
