driventotheedge
I like most of these and saw Foghat, Bad Company, Montrose and (the original) Grand Funk. Tough call on the poll but I went with Ten Years After.
HemiBeers
James Gang. Walk Away is a hoot to crank up and jam on some power chords. Their drummer is a beast as well.
GeddysMullet
Wait.... Is Foghat supposed to be a play on the word "forgot?" Like, said with a country accent, "Oh I foghat about that!" That would be better then just putting two random words together... I always thought it might be a play on "Fuckkit!" However, according to Wikipedia, "The new line-up was named "Foghat" (a nonsense word from a Scrabble-like game played by Peverett and his brother) in January 1971." Which has a citation but still might not be true. I voted for James Gang in the poll, but Foghat gets special mention for a bit of merch a friend of mine wore throughout 12th grade after seeing them in concert: a hat that simply said FOG on it. I find that sort of thing amusing, I do. And finally, in my RushFanForever moment, I give you this:
custom55
Not a fan of any of these but I will go with Bad Company just so I have a vote. Did you make up some of these names, duck? I haven't heard of some of them before. This is the one from Cactus that used to get airplay in the 70's. I guess they never filmed a video until decades later? :guitar: :guitar: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Sc6J3rPeMw High school favorite
pjbear05
No vote. Best band, tie, Humble Pie and Mountain. Favorite band, hard pass, too many of them.

vaportrailer
For me it is close between Montrose and Mountain. But I probably listen to Mountain more, so they just edge it.This is my favourite Mountain track -http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0l_x0xH9fLM So many good ones to chose from. This one always has to be played as loud as possible:
zepphead
Corky effin' Laing! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AQ8ZKb1MWZ4Corky was on fire here! A great clip. There was just something about them - A great bunch of musicians, the tone from West's guitar, and some fine songwriting. A very underrated band in my opinion.

treeduck
I'm surprised Montrose only got 2 votes. Could it be the Van Hagar effect?
Entre_Perpetuo
I'm surprised Montrose only got 2 votes. Could it be the Van Hagar effect? Don't they only have like one great album and the rest are inconsistent? I've only heard the first one, and while I do like it I like a lot of other hard rock stuff better. Sweet guitar and vocals though.
Self-Indulgence
I've seen Bad Co. twice. 1977 and 2000 reunion tour. Mick Ralphs did not impress me both times. I love their songs, though.Sammy Hagar 1978(opened for VH) tour was cool because Ronnie Montrose came out for a guitar dual with Sammy. I'm sure they did Rock Candy and one other. I just wish I had seen Foghat somewhere along the way.
