The Sixth Sense. Effectively creepy in parts, but mostly dull and the final "reveal" is completely ridiculous when you think about it.

Why is it ridiculous?

Because it was obvious.

Did you also know that Verbal Kint was really Keyser Soze, or that Darth Vader was Luke's father? ;)

No, but Sixth Sense just seemed obvious to me.

It was not to me and Im glad - friends of mine knew what was happening and were bored the whole time. I watched it a second time and couldnt believe the cues I missed.

Some bunghole blabbed the ending to me before I saw it. I’m not sure if I would’ve caught the big reveal or not if i hadn’t known

That would have just ruined the whole point, unless, like Columbo, you would have enjoyed it anyway to watch it unfold.

That would be me. I've re-watched it several times and enjoyed it each time. I think the premise of the kid seeing and aiding the dead while, of course, being terrified the whole time, is a cool idea and is carried off pretty well. The twist is inconsequential, imo.

The Lion King.

The whole disney franchise...

You didn’t even like Toy Story or The Incredibles?

Before part 4 was released, Toy Story 1-3 was the best trilogy I can think of

Of all films, or animated?

IF I counted the Dollars trilogy (and I’m not sure I actually do think of it as a trilogy), it’d beat Toy Story.

I did like those. I was thinking more of the animated, which some I guess were ok.. but highly overrated. TS 1 beats the sequels by a lot too.

Toy Story 4? Nah.... that movie doesn't exist in the TS franchise. It was just Disney wanting money!

Of course, it’s part of the series. Can’t just erase it because you don’t like it. It’s just nowhere near as good as the first three.

I wish I could erase everything after Aliens. Erase everything after Terminator 2. And on and on...

It is worse because the expectation for those other steaming piles of diarrhea were not high. :) For the stars in it and the franchise it was associated with it was GARBAGE!!! lol

That's what I was thinking of, and the original Star Wars trilogy.

That’s a good find.

I looked through the entire 33 and either Toy Story beats them OR I didn’t see all of the movies within a trilogy.

Here are my only contenders from that list which may or may not beat Toy Story 1-3...

- Dollars...as I stated earlier. Lee Van Cleef being in For A Few Dollars More and TGTBATU as different characters make me not think it’s a trilogy. Dollars might be disqualified from being a proper trilogy...if they’re in then they beat all the competition.

- original SW trilogy...the ewoks might be the reason for the SW loss as their role was big (and annoying) in Jedi. Nothing in Toy Story 1-3 was unpleasant. It’s close and I’m somewhat undecided but I lean towards Toy Story.

- first 3 Indy Jones...it’s close but some parts especially in Temple of Doom were a little bit too over the top. Still, a very enjoyable flick. Not sure who wins this matchup. I’ll say this though: Toy Story 4, a C+ grade movie, blows away Indy Jones 4.

I actually enjoy Indy 4 more than Indy 2, which highlights the second movie as the weak link in that trilogy. And I agree with the Ewoks dragging down Jedi, and the whole franchise, really, as movies that followed seemed to continue with embedding "cutesy" elements to broaden appeal and attract younger audiences.

Yeah, I belonged to some movie forum back then and saw someone do that to a chatroom full of people who hadn’t seen it yet. That person was so proud of himself for ruining it for them. I had already seen it by then

Did I ever mention The Quiet Place?

I thought it was fine. I wouldn't call it overrated because I never heard anyone hype it in the first place, and it wasn't overly long.

Gets insanely high ratings on Rotten Tomatoes and IMDB. And when I saw some people write negative reviews about the movie, all of the Quiet Place lovers got angry. Yeahhhh overrated it is for me
