Do Led Zep

OK...

Led Zeppelin for you and Sir Zepphead it is.

:)

Wish I had the time to go through their songs chronologically and do the marathon with you. It would be a lot of fun.

Same here!

:)

You are missing two studio albums!

No, three studio albums!

While I have great respect for the talents of John, Ray and Robbie I think The Doors are The Doors proper including Jim.

That being said, it annoys me that The Doors as a whole are overshadowed by Jim Morrison.

“Other Voices” and “Full Circle” are fine albums of course.

“An American Prayer”, while has music performed by The Doors isn’t really a proper Doors album either.

It is a very interesting listen.

Same!

The Doors are my second favourite sixties band, after The Beatles. The albums with Jim are to my very biased but honest mind as close to perfection as it's possible to be. Magic!

Genesis - always a good choice.

Genesis is officially on deck (after the current Led Zeppelin marathon) and the Genesis marathon is dedicated my dear TRF friend, Chicken Hawk! :)

Maybe, for another future listen, is Yes. When I think of Genesis, I think of Yes, because they've both been similar bands, and groups. I've liked both the same. Edited by Derek19

Definitely contemporaries...

...which band do you like better Derek?

The next marathon starts now.

Who cares to join me on this next adventure?

(Chicken Hawk, this one is for you)

I'll be interested in your thoughts in the later albums.

I quite liked Scream and Black Rain but have only heard Ordinary Man once.

I like Scream as well. I listened to Ordinary Man a couple times when I first got it but haven't returned to it. Not by design, I just haven't found myself in the mood for it.

Looking like the next marathon begins tomorrow, instead of today.

That gives us one more day of voting.

Although, it is looking like the winner will be...

(Who is along for the ride on this musical trip?)

This is the best part of the trip

This is the trip, the best part

I really like

Might join you for Bowie although I'll need to acquire some of his stuff I don't have.

How about Zappa? His stuff's a bit diverse but would keep you going for a while!
