Principled Man
For me, Avengers Endgame was the big denouement....... but the whole scene has peaked and the best characters and actors have flown the coup. I agree. The ten-year story has been told. I don't think they'll come close to matching the excitement and drama of the Infinity War storyline. Whatever films they make from now on may be good, but it won't be the same as 2008-2019.
JohnnyBlaze
I'm, and have been adding my own thoughts, and opinions to, and regarding the Marvel Cinematic Universes' movies. We all have an opinion whether it, and they are the same, or not. When, and after I watch a movie, I don't give, and haven't given my own personal grade on them because when I think of something worthwhile, and meaningful to say including appropriate, then it's when I will make a point, and points to say it, and them, especially on a public forum. With some critics, and other people, who are fans, and try to keep up, with the changes on what is happening, and going on about any superhero in the comics before anything else, I would think, and feel they do know their backstory. Even if the changes are little, or small, the writers, producers, and directors can, and do make them for trying to make the movie, or movies better, than what they are. Some of them do benefit from them, whereas, other ones don't benefit from them, which is, and can be a hit, and miss. Some of the character and/or backstory changes have been fine (Captain America & Iron Man are good examples imho) but others (Thor and Vision for example) have been altered too much (whether in tone, character, supporting cast, or abilities). Some of the changes were necessary (Cap’s timeline for example, i.e. being defrosted this century instead of the 1960s as done in the comics) or understandable (skipping Tony Stark’s whole bout with alcoholism). However, stuff such as sex changing Captain Marvel and Eternals characters or shoehorning a sexual preference change into Valkyrie (who never had that preference originally) dont make any sense other than trying to be politically correct. It’s just a matter of the powers that be picking the right ones (Jane Foster Thor isn’t one of those great stories!! ). The obvious saga they need to tell is Galactus and the Silver Surfer. For more earthbound epics, there’s Namor and Doctor Doom. Clearly though it looks like they’re going with the cosmic route. I’m pretty sure I’ve said before but I didn’t even really like the comic version of Infinity Gauntlet but the MCU version did well with building and balancing the characters, and creating the drama and momentum. JohnnyBlaze
Too much. It's all too much. Superhero super-saturation!! It all depends. At one point, in a period of a mere 1.5 years from May ‘15 to Nov. ‘16, we got Age of Ultron, Ant-Man, Cap Civil War, and Doc Strange. That’s a hell of a good run imho and didn’t think it was too much. More recently however, they haven’t been able to string together three good flicks in a row (sometimes not even two). So yeah, it’s “too much” in terms of too much crap and not enough goodness.

Mick My issue with Far From Home was the unfunny jokes & weak supporting characters (high school classmates...Flash Thompson is absolute garbage for example). There was way too much time spent on those bs classmates and the teen romancing. I was surprised that whatshisname as Mysterio didn’t ruin it for me since I dislike that actor. And though here were plenty of changes from comic to movie for Mysterio, I still think they did a good job with him. Mysterio Made the film......and i'll be honest i love this MJ and was also pleased with peter's angst over Stark and how that affected him. so not perfect (the highscool stuff) but i thought the great stuff was enough to make it a win for me. solid B+ Mick
Derek19
The actor, who played, and portrayed "Quentin Beck/Mysterio" in "Spider-Man: Far From Home" is "Jake Gyllenhaal". I thought he was great, and everything else about, and in the movie was fine.

And apparently, he’s already played an MCU character - Cottonmouth in the Luke Cage show. Edited July 26, 2019 by JohnnyBlaze

Segue Myles
Endgame was a great finale. I'm kinda not feeling any sort of excitement for phase 4, but if they can bring some freshness (if that's even possible by now), and some good ideas (Doctor Strange 2 looks encouraging), I may stick around. I haven't seen Far From Home yet. I'm not loving this new Spider-Man.
