The more i dwell on it. the more dissapointed in Endgame i am. it really is not too good honestly. i mean on the whole....it has great stuff in it. but really a big letdown. but the 2 reasons you said are why it's as high as it is. I was satisfied overall with Iron Man and Cap’s stories but Thor’s didn’t make too much sense. Character/personality-wise, he’s not even Thor at this point. Then, some other parts in Endgame weren’t too satisfying. But there are a lot of cool moments in it at least.

And there've been plenty of MCU characters not the same as their comic counterparts. It's just that a few have become grossly different. This bastardization of Thor is well beyond what it should be. It'd be like if movie Harry Potter evolved into a musclebound, aggressive type. Clearly, that's not how Harry Potter should be. That's how different Thor has become from what he should be. With MCU Spidey, I pretty much agree with you...though I'm not too irritated. I'd probably be more satisfied if he were a cross between Tobey Maguire Spidey and Tom Holland Spidey. I get what you mean about Thor to be honest. I will say, I genuinely prefer the first two Thor movies to the third, even though Dark World has problems.
JohnnyBlaze
Dunno what you're all talking about. Endgame is my number one MCU film. It was epic, it was also deeper and more contemplative and emotional. But meh... too much i didn't like. It's cool people do enjoy it. but some of those choices.......no no no no no no no no!!!!! b- Dangerously close to a C+ Mick Yup, I’d probably give it a B- too. Some scenes in there are top 3 in all of the MCU...but then again, some pieces (this version of Thor and his arc for example) are bottom 3. i know i said i enjoyed Ragnorok (no apologies still do) but this time Thor's arc was WAY too much. i was getting mad in the theater. and Prof. Hulk was cool with ZERO Hulk smash payoff. oy, lol Mick I absolutely love Ragnarok i get WHY people are turned off but i can't help it it's fun as hell. Mick I thought the humor worked brilliantly. It could have gone horribly wrong. That’s fine. It’s just that Thor shouldn’t be and never was a comedic character...though he’s sometimes around lighter, more comedic ones (The Warriors 3). But now it’s full-on comedic Thor and, liking the humor or not, it’s just not what that character is. That exchange with Starlord towards the end of Endgame was cringey. Haven't seen Endgame so I can't comment. Just thought Ragnarok was a huge improvement over Thor 2, and I laughed my ass off. So no complaints. Thor 2 is one my least enjoyable MCU movies but I didn’t feel that anyone was out of character like they were waaaaay off in Raganarok and Endgame. Ragnarok had big time hits and misses for me. I’ve gone off on the misses in Raganarok before so I won’t repeat them here. I thought the hits in Rag were Hulk’s evolution into what he was there, the Contest of Champions scene, and the overall look of Hela and Surtur. Oh, and Loki’s (whatsthatactorsname?) consistently been good in these movies.
