Wil1972
Shortly after they banned Simmons from their properties, they floated his name as a possible replacement for Roy Moore in the Alabama Senate race. Being from AL I would vote for Gene way before Moore!
Wil1972
I confess I don't know much about Gene Simmons' personally or his personality (other than the fact that he took Geddy and Rush under his wing, and that Ace loved Alex's paper bag act) but is what he did in keeping with his personality? It seems like bizarre behavior. This is par for the course Lorraine. I'm not surprised at all.
Wil1972
Hey chicks, sue me!" he reportedly yelled, pulling open his shirt to reveal his chest. Simmons then peppered the crowd with inappropriate Michael Jackson jokes and hit two employees on the head with his book. "It was pretty severe," one source said ... Simmons then tapped two FOX staffers on the head with his book, making assumptions about their intelligence from the sound that resulted Maybe it's just me, but this sounds more like the fun Uncle that comes over on holidays than the act of some criminal "It was pretty severe" Gene's Mom survived a Nazi concentration camp and saw her own mother led into a gas chamber .... Gene is old enough to know what is "pretty severe" I am struggling to find the words for people who can no longer handle a Michael Jackson joke Snowflakes! Haha!! Also I didn’t consider those commendable like traits, then or now.
JohnnyBlaze
You'd think after nearly 70 years alive he'd quit doing dumb crap like that. Sociopaths never admit to making any mistakes, so they're incapable of learning from them. Gene's narcissistic and this incident is showboating (or even marketing) but I definitely wouldn't say he's a sociopath. He's shown empathy too many times in the past to be considered a sociopath. Simmons says they are hosting his foster son Zinnah Sambolah while he is in the U.S. "Zinnah is from Liberia - he comes from a village of 200 people," Simmons says. "And we do a lot of charity work and Zinnah is staying with us for the whole month while he gets his operations to get his legs in shape. MendingKids.org covers the operations and the flights ... look, we can all do more, especially if it doesn't affect our lifestyles. So if you're sitting at home and you got a few extra bucks in your pocket, you know what to do. You know how to make God smile. Come on." Simmons sponsors more than 1500 kids, and urges others to get involved as well: "I had to do this because children are our future. The next great mind or humanitarian could come from Africa. Because children are our responsibility, I urge you to do something. Pick up the phone and call Child Fund, or another charity organization and find out what you can do. You will make all the difference to a child far, far away -- whose dreams are every bit as important as your child's dreams." Simmons has been involved with many other charitable causes as well. Earlier this year he flew to Las Vegas and visited a critically ill 17 year old fan who wanted to meet him. The boy passed away a couple of days later. Principled Man
Getting banned from Fox isn't a bad thing. I read Megyn Kelly's autobiography. It's a toxic place to work. She sure didn't mind getting paid millions of dollars to be their eye-candy propagandist.

Peter is a douche too. Way more than Gene. Peter is a delusional pathetic angry little catman. Edited November 22, 2017 by Wil1972
OldRUSHfan
https://nypost.com/2...926579f881108d6 Gene Simmons banned from Fox News after lewd behavior Kiss frontman Gene Simmons was reportedly banned from Fox News after harassing employees and making crude statements during an promotional appearance at the network on Thursday. Simmons had just completed an interview about his new book with Fox Business when he arrived for an entertainment feature on the 14th floor and began acting inappropriately, according to The Daily Beast. “Hey chicks, sue me!” Simmons yelled while pulling open his red velvet shirt and exposing his chest and stomach, the site said. Simmons also told jokes about pedophilia and touched a number of employees — even tapping some on the head with his book while insulting their intelligence. The rocker was banned from all Fox properties permanently. A representative for Simmons did not return a request for comment. KISS Founder Gene Simmons Has Been Banned For Life From Fox News Fox News has had a checkered record of sexual harassment and sexism over the past year, leading to the exit of former head Roger Ailes and longtime personality Bill O’Reilly. It has seemingly been enough to see the network attempt to change the environment in the workplace, something that has now led to Gene Simmons being banned for life from Fox News and its other network partners. The KISS bassist and founder is a longtime guest on the network and made his latest appearance on Wednesday across the main network and Fox Business Network, promoting his new book On Power and having what seemed to be a fun time with the folks, even helping to deliver the weather on Fox And Friends. He followed this by sitting with Maria Bartiromo for a chat and ended up giving his opinion of the ongoing Harvey Weinstein and sexual misconduct scandal that seems to be swirling around the country. According to The Daily Beast, Simmons felt the question was a bit odd considering his rock persona and seemed to blame the entire thing on testosterone: “The lunatics have taken over the insane asylum when respected business entities such as yourself ask guys that like to stick their tongues out,” Simmons answered, “what I think of Harvey Weinstein.” “Okay, I’m a powerful and attractive man, and what I’m about to say is deadly serious,” he continued. “Men are jackasses. From the time we’re young we have testosterone. I’m not validating it or defending it.”It wasn’t long after this that Simmons was off to his third Fox appearance of the day, heading to an interview with FoxNews.com. This is when “The demon” busts in on a staff meeting on the 14th floor and proceeds to offend everybody present in the span of a few minutes: “Hey chicks, sue me!” he shouted, and then pulled open his red velvet shirt to reveal his chest and belly, according to the source. Then he starting telling Michael Jackson pedophilia jokes, and then bopped two employees on the head with his book, making derisive comments about their comparative intelligence according to the sound their heads made when struck. The Daily Beast notes that Simmons’ antics were soon reported to a supervisor and human-resources exec Kevin Lord, leading to the decision to ban Simmons for life. It shows a new attitude for the network in light of their experiences over the past year, though Bill O’Reilly was invited back to appear with Sean Hannity without a peep of the allegations against him. Simmons or his publicist didn’t provide comment to The Daily Beast regarding the incident and the last social post from the rocker is a photo outside of Sirius XM earlier on Thursday. Really. I'm SOOOOOOOO Heartbroken. :eyeroll:
