Yes, Dio said he got it from his grandma. She was a superstitious person and the hand gesture used to be done in certain parts of the world as a way for people to turn away bad things from happening to them. Ronnie said he needed something to do with his hands on stage and that's how it started. It's a story that's been around for years so I'm inclined to believe it more. Not sure what he's hoping to accomplish here since there is absolutely no way to keep track of every time the hand gesture is used. In my mind Ronnie does it right!
