Rick N. Backer
Listening to Soundgarden's Echo of Miles today. I completely forgot they covered Spinal Tap's Big Bottom. What an awesome band they were. :( Their covers of Come Together, Stray Cat Blues and Into the Void are awesome also. And, in turn, GNR's cover of Big Dumb Sex is pretty good also. Soundgarden covered Into The Void? I must hear that one.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h9wF2DDyz2g Outshined could have been a Sabbath riff. There are a lot of Soundgarden riffs that could have been Sabbath. That's why the grunge label never made sense to me. They were always metal. I think it's mostly because they came out of that area, and they're clearly not a glam metal band.

invisible airwave
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7N3F7RVUED0 Love the earlier darker sounding songs from the first DD album. Perfect for Deftones to cover. They cover Chauffeur as well.

Rick N. Backer
Krokus - Stayed Awake All Night. I’m ashamed to admit how long it was before I learned that was a cover. Krokus - School’s Out. Krokus - American Woman. By contrast, their Ballroom Blitz isn’t one of the best covers.

Fordgalaxy
5 pages and no one has mentioned Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds by Elton John? Until I was about 12 or 13, I had no idea it was a cover because I never listened to The Beatles (still don't).

driventotheedge
Evil Woman - Black Sabbath (Crow) For a long time available only on the import version of their first album. The original was a minor hit for a band called Crow in 1969. Not to be confused with the ELO song of the same name. Here's Sabbath's version.............
