RUSHHEAD666
This movie blew my mind. Not a fan of The Rock and not really into the Narcissist Maui character. Lame. Eagle Moon would love that character. RushheadMaui666. Anyway this movie is amazing. I am a Maui guy and I love to boogie board. The ocean will always be my Spirit Guide.I lucid dream of the ocean almost every night, and I'm just a loser Rush fan. This flick is awesome! Just when I want to dismiss Disney they hit a home run!!! Pua the pig is adorable. Mahalo fruit loops! Drama is a Yes album.... Maui Rules. Edited March 9, 2017 by RUSHHEAD666
Segue Myles
I think it's one of the weaker Disney animations myself.
Segue Myles
The film owes a massive debt to Miyazaki films like Ponyo (totally stole the ocean as a character theme and look) and Princess Mononoke (the ending). It doesn't look as beautiful as the best Disney flicks either. It felt very safe to my eyes. I don't really enjoy any songs either.
Segue Myles
Zootopia was infinitely better.
JohnnyBlaze
It finally opens here tomorrow. Might have to do some digging to find a show in English. Seems like many of the cinemas are only showing it in Japanese. What a waste
Rod in Toronto
I liked it, but I´m not an expert in Disney movies. I only started watcjing them when my little girl was born. She loves it of course. I wanna buy the DVD as soon as it comes out, but until then, here´s Stella watching the "fire monster" scene at home, from a low quality copy we downloaded:

Segue Myles
I thought Frozen was better. I think Tangled is better than both put together.

PolarizeMe
Uh...I still need to see it first before I can even compare it to Zootopia but many people I know thought either it and/or Kubo And The Two Strings got robbed of the Oscar.

Kubo looked great but it was dreadful storytelling.

Stinkerbell
Visually Moana compares to those recent Disney films and all of them I would have to say are fantastic. Musically this film was top notch and one of the best in recent years. Even better then Frozen in my opinion. I loved the characters, the story, music, and all around it was enjoyable.
Rod in Toronto
We were passing by a toy store today, and noticed a 40cm Maui doll...I love that character (and The Rock, too), but they were charging 300 bucks for it!!! No thanks...

No thanks...$7.50 per centimeter?! I can get 40 tasty burgers for that! Tasty burgers for a year OR a Moana doll?! :P
