i'm enjoying lots of non neil shots. It's refreshing to not jump to him at such and such drum fill.

i see the little sumo guy on the right hand side. wouldn't that match up to RTB era?
-
You would think Neil would have updated his site by now?

They're done, it's over folks. Time to let gooooo. It has to be done. I let go the night I saw them in Tampa. I was satisfied, and if I don't see them again, i'm okay with that. It's mainly because of the Sabbath thing as well. I may not even see Sabbath though, simply because Ozzy is horrible now. Both bands ending around the same time, i find it a bit cool. -
Hand of Doom needs to be played, badly.

I love SW's output, it took me a bit to get into his solo stuff, but I find stuff from every one of his Solo albums to really like. I think i'm beginning to like it slightly more than PT's output.

It's gonna be Clufucktos again.

frankly I don't see why everyone is getting a stick up their asses. Who gives a shit?

Meh, it's okay. Need some Love is probably my favorite track, followed by Finding My Way.

Driven was played on the VT tour though.

I can agree with the OP and you, there are some posts that have been very rude (and they weren't being snide IMHO) so if a newbie to the board gets a bit upset, let him vent. I don't take those posts personally as much as I did when I was new here, so give the OP a break. That said, let the complainers complain to their hearts content, I don't have to agree with them either :P Clockwork Angels is the best thing sincehttp://pix-media.s3.amazonaws.com/blog/854/bread.jpg Processed sliced white bread isn't that great, soooo......... NOW WE'RE TALKIN

a thought about a certain song on the dvd (Spoilers, stay away)

I saw it live as well, thats the thing. It's good that he's playing the solo though. -
So, i'm noticing Geddy is being lazy with jacobs ladder, I.E. triggering a sample with one finger (no wonder he's bored as shit). I can't tell if he's actually playing the solo during the synth solo part, however, it would be unwise to show him at all during the DVD at that part, since if he isn't actually playing the actual keys and is only triggering the solo that would be incredibly boring to watch. If someone can aleviate this fear, please feel free to do so. Normally when he solos on it, it shows his fingers working away, like on the moog during TS and Subdivisions.

All right. I'm calling some of you guys out . . .

First off, I would think the fact that my post was meant to be taken in good humor would be obvious. However, to your question about "real fans" it is my belief that some people who call themselves "real fans" of a band, any band, often like to say they prefer obscure material to more commercially successful material (for example, a "real" ZZ Top fan doesn't like Eliminator, a "real" Black Sabbath fan doesn't like Paranoid) because it makes them appear to be more "into" the band's discography than a causal fan. When there's this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S6E_gC7UlMw Why would I want to listen to Paranoid? It's a relatively bad album by Black Sabbath standards, the only reason why it's so popular is because almost every song is a radio staple, or well known, with the exception of Hand of Doom, and Planet Caravan. How many times has FWB, Paranoid, War Pigs, Electric Funeral, or Iron Man been ran into the ground. In my opinion it is an elementary album. Their Debut is so much better. So as someone who has all 19 albums, why would I go to Paranoid, when there is so much more musically diverse albums like Sabbath, Bloody Sabbath, or Never Say Die! or Technical Ectasy, or Headless Cross, e.t.c. -
Mt. Midoriyama. Mt. Mt. Midori. That's literally what that means. Mt. Mountain Midori. Yama means Mountain in Japanese.

This thread is horrible, Why isn't it in f***ing SOCN?

if you're wondering if they've ever touched up things, they have. REALLY obvious autotune on the entire replay box set, and especially obvious on Spirit of Radio's Chorus in ASOH.
-
It's a rip of the vinyl, that you bought.
-
Okay so. lets say for the sake of the band, that this is the last tour. What if, whenever they got together to jam, and play (since neil enjoys playing with them, when there isnt a crowd.) Just what if, they record those performances. No super fancy light show, nothing, just 3 men jamming out their material in a shed/rehearsal room. Would you buy it? Specifically if they only played stuff they never played live before.
-
I like it, it's okay. I like Where's My Thing? Better, though.
-
None, we're all religious nuts who buy everything rush, what's wrong with you? :laughing guy: Before I had the entire discography. Everything. Now I believe only Different Stages is bootleg'd
-
Forte forte lololol. No seriously just a little joke between me and a friend. But seriously these guys are great. Got a nice proggy/ jazz/rock fusion with some nice layered synths
-
I saw that he passed away on sunday, but his wife wanted to allow time for everyone to settle before allowing it to go public. Good move. RIP Mr. Lee. One of the greats! (p.s. his symphonic metal stuff is great)

Rush definitely had that Sabbath influenced sound on Working Man. BU2B is definitely not a hard rock riff. Stick it Out. Cut to the Chase. Hemispheres, e.t.c.
