  1. If they have to play them, I'd rather have Tom Sawyer and Limelight as openers....
  2. Fortunately for me, I won't be getting this because of the cover.
  3. Do you really have the moon 45? "Rush" Moon label 1974 Lp "Caress Of Steel" Mercury label 1975 Lp "Fly By Night" Mercury label 1975 Lp "A Farewell To Kings" Mercury label 1977 Lp "Rush At Electric Ladyland Studios" Boot label SS/coloured Lp "Rush" Comp Holland Issue Picture Disk Lp "Rush ABC 1974" Lp "Temple Of The Sphynx" Live St. Louis 1980 Lp I have these too, but my Electric Ladyland is a regular black LP.
  4. Sounds reasonable to me. They used to due their annual late December/New Year's Eve shows at the Gardens during this period. I wasn't aware that one of more of these were ever filmed. If they were, I wouldn't be shocked if this stuff was in the Rush vault.
  5. I finally had the chance to listen to this. Good show if you haven't heard it, but the Neil, Alex and Geddy quotes are recycled from past shows and have very little specifically to do with the album itself. Neil's quote's might be the ones most closely related to that time period. Seems to be the modus operandi for this show over the years (At least with the Rush shows anyway).
  6. I'm all over this and Yes's Close To The Edge. There wasn't much wrong with the original and the remaster was a marginal improvement, but I would expect this to sound even warmer and crisper making it the best version yet. The Roll The Bones release a few years back was a welcomed improvement for the same reasons.
  7. Wow! That is just stunning! There's no other way to put it.
  8. I'd have offered to trade you the blue sky/ominous sky Test For Echo (18 by 24) promotional poster set had I known. Maybe next time...
  9. Mispressings like that are known to happen, but I've never heard of that specific one before.
  10. I tried to ask him this during a screening in upstate New York a little over a year ago and he was so focused on editing his metal mini-series that had been due out that he really couldn't answer the question.

    t-shirt

Yup, but it was a Counterparts Tour shirt.
  12. That's one I'd like to have too, but they aren't too easy to find and when they are they don't do well of my affordability scale.

    Exit Stage Left

It's possible the a live version of Vital Signs might be hanging around somewhere. It was left off of the Exit...Stage Left album but appeared as the B-side to the New World Man single.
  14. Perhaps not coincidentally, it was dropped for good on 1990's Presto Tour
  15. Newark and Brooklyn were shows 7 and 8 for my 14 year-old since the Vapor Trails tour.
  16. The strings live were awesome! I love them.
  17. Just wanted to say good luck. We're all counting on you....
  18. QUOTE (Digital Man @ Oct 13 2012, 08:59 AM) All the albums, studio and live. About 40 bootlegs from beginning thru Snakes and Arrows. Drum sticks used at a Detroit show Autographed Rush license plate. and this stuff: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v620/skopetski/Rush/all_sm.jpg Cool! I've got the picture disc and the keychain myself. I've never dove into the pins and patches thing just because there is so much out there and it's probably too late to start. I've always dreamed about having one of those jackets with all of that on it though.
  19. Awesome! My 14 year-old pulled out Clockwork Angels when his friend was over last night and they sat there in silence from beginning to end. And that was after choosing it for the car ride that morning. He'll be seeing shows 7 and 8 next week.
  20. If people want to believe there will be an 40th anniversary tour good on them. I'm not going to be waiting around for one. If we get lucky 2015, might be a work year.
  21. QUOTE (losingit2k @ Oct 14 2012, 02:06 PM) The More I think about it, the more I realize that this tour is a gift, this setlist is a gift and Clockwork Angels is a gift. Regardless on why they decided to play their 80's stuff on this tour, you need to realize that it never had to happen. I don't think its because Geddy can't sing the older stuff. I feel they just wanted to change things up. But lets just entertain that the voice was the reason. If Geddy couldn't sings the older 70's stuff they could have just annouced it and retired. Someone had to step forward and stated that they had all these other great songs they could still do and that they should move forward in the best way they could and believe me, Clockwork Angels is a great way to move forward. Its a given that they can't do this forever. Sooner or later it will all come to an end. I for one am very glad that it didn't happen after the Time Machine Tour. I truly hope that the reception they have received for Clockwork Angels will encourage them to break even more ground and provide us with another Masterful gift like Clockwork Angels. Bravo for having the courage and balls to always do the unexpected, regardless of the outcome. You guys have always been true to yourselves and in turn to your fans. I for one, am looking forward towards your next endeavour, what ever that may be. It's all a gift and it keeps on giving.
