  1. 8 Hrs and counting!!!! Decided to take our daughter as well as our son. Very excited about the show; I've seen Rush ~ a dozen times since the late 70's but have not made a show in a while.
  2. Leaning more towards taking our 9 yr old. She enjoys music, have the tickets already, and if she get's too tired she's already proven she can fall asleep just about anywhere... Funny thing last night; heading home after a football game with our kids and neighbor's kids, Tom Sawyer came on the radio and our boy started singing along right off the bat!!! Don't think his friend quite new the song. My wife just looked at me and grinned
  3. Anyone have experience with the American Airlines Center in Dallas regarding forwarding items to the band for autographs? Best, Steve
  4. Taking our 12 yr old boy for sure - showed him the tickets tonight, he's stoked; still up in the air regarding our 9 yr old girl - leaning towards taking her. If she goes it will be a family afair w/ my wife also; if not it will be a boys night out w/ a friend of our son and his dad. Our daughter really enjoys music; mostly the typical young girl stuff but does enjoy classic rock - not like she has much of a choice at times... I know it's not quite the same environment but we have taken them to the Transiberian Orchestra a few times; funny, our daughter actual fell asleep during the show the first time; she was prob about 4 or 5 though. Yes, we will have ear protection for the kids.
  5. Just be prepared to explain why the person next to you is smoking a "funny cigarette" and what that "weird smell" is. Funny, I took my younger brother to Rush many years ago when he was 17 and I just 'might' be 'somewhat' responsible but pretty sure he didn't 'inhale'.... Those days are long gone.... Dallas is an indoor show at the AA center that does not allow smoking at all. We've already been having the stay away talk with our kids but how much toking occurs anymore in an indoor arena?
  6. Hello All, Who all here have taken their kids to see Rush? What ages are your kids? How was it? I'm planning on taking my 12 yr old boy and to the show here in Dallas in a couple weeks; can't wait to share the experience!!! Originally planned on a friend coming in from out of state w/ his son to join but that fell thru; debating using the other two tickets for my wife and 9 yr old daughter or a freind of my son and his dad. CA shows so far: - Generally started on time? - Total length of time for show? (Dallas show is a school night and curious what I'm looking at). Best, Steve
