I tell you what, JohnnyBlaze, I'm in a generous mood, and my kids are driving me crazy, so I'll loan them to you for a little while. Now, they're pretty old (16, 18, 21) so they don't need too much maintenance and are already housebroken. You can try to reason with them, try to keep them from killing each other, and try to ignore most of what they're watching on Tik Tok for a couple of weeks and then send them back (not to me though! I'll include my parents' address). This way, if somebody asks you about kids, you can say "No thanks, I've already had kids for a while; it didn't work out." That's sure to be a topic killer, so then you're off the hook! It's a win-win. I've already got the holes drilled in the box, so just say the word, and I'll pay for the third class shipping.

I'm probably guilty of doing that for some of The Year polls, but not in this case. I would much rather listen to Led Zeppelin or Cream than Hendrix, but I am persuaded by the arguments about Hendrix's position in the evolution; his influence was outsized.

And thank god for that! Yuck! There are several on the list that are run into the ground, but I went with TP shortage because I want human nature to change, I guess, and for people to stop being so panicky. Something tells me I'm headed for disappointment.

It's not supposed to be the ultimate frontman poll, this is just a poll between these 6, that's it. Steven Tyler isn't one of the six in the poll so therefore Steven Tyler should not be in this. I would take Gillan out. He's not at the same level as the rest while Tyler is right there with those five. The answer is Percy (Robert Plant), but I was gonna give an honorable mention to Gillan! Back in the day, that guy could really wail. Maybe not the showman the others were.
