  1. Pretty boys or bad boys; add Motley Crue, Def Leppard, Poison, GnR, etc.
  2. rushbackstage.com has the blue MFH t-shirts in stock. Good, my old one died a month ago from being worn so much!
  3. Experienced something similar when Pink Floyd played Detroit's Olympia Stadium in support of WYWH. General admission seating. My date and I were with 3 other couples waiting for the doors to open, and it was getting dicey. I told the guys to surround our dates and when the doors opened, told the guys "elbows out, flying wedge". We bulled our way to the mezzanine, and took seats in the first row. Effing madness.
  4. Too damn many great choices, went with ELP.
  5. You clearly haven't read this thread. There are a few varieties of plugs that allow all the frequencies through, just at a reduced decibel level. Also, hearing loss is cumulative and once it's gone, you ain't getting it back, music lover. ^^^This. Years ago Pete Townshend spoke of losing part of his hearing, mostly the lower registers, from the constant barrage of amplified sound. The Nuge at one time wore custom rubber and wax plugs.
  6. An HBO documentary biography of Andre Rousimoff, bka Andre the Giant.
  7. Then go clean shaven Lorraine! :d13: Someone’s got to look like ‘80s Tom Selleck in order to not look shady wearing a mustache. Peart’s handlebar in the 70s was good though. Other than those two I can’t think of anyone else. All hail Herbert John Streicher! Better known by his stage pseudonym of Harry Reems, whose facial hair while playing Doctor Young in "Deep Throat" brought on the term "pornstache."
  8. Best of luck Lorraine. More blessings of strength for you and a speedy recovery for hubby.
  9. Blazing Saddles for Mel. But Airplane tops them all. Male child, after handing coffee to female child; "cream and sugar?" FC: "No, I take it black; like my men." Male passenger motions to female passenger with small flask, "Ma'am?" FP: "Certainly not!", then pulls out straw and snuff box and takes a couple of snorts. :laughing guy:
  10. Sabbath for the first two. Treeduck for the third to up the popular vote.
  11. Moya Brennan Lorena McKennitt Pat Benetar
  12. Sending prayers and thoughts his way Lorraine. Be at peace, we of TRF are here with you.
  13. A trend I'm seeing start up is instead of a "final" or "reunion" tour is a "Vegas residency" where a band plays a number of dates in the showroom of a Las Vegas hotels. David Lee Roth recently started one at The House of Blues, Billy Idol is working the Palms, and Christina Aguilera and Gwen Stefani are performing at Planet Hollywood. The Doobies Brothers and Chicago have runs planned for early 2020. Hey, if it can work for Donnie and Marie Osmond (whose soon to be finished run at the Flamingo is still a hot ticket in LV), why not these old farts?
  14. Waiting in a left turn lane for a traffic light to change and I hear a siren behind me. OK, probably EMS, the station is half a mile back. The truck approaches the intersection, full lights, siren, and air horn, and the morons on the road they're trying to access zip right by. Dumbasses!
  15. Success! I'm so glad we had the credit bureau report! That helped him answer the questions successfully. New card on the way! :ebert: Is this Real ID also referred to as an enhanced license? My state made a huge deal out of getting those or a passport about a decade ago. It was especially a big deal here because we're so close to the Canadian border. I got a passport which is good for ten years. I still have two or three years left on it. From what I gathered getting a passport is easier than getting the special license but the passport costs a couple hundred dollars if I remember correctly. I can't speak to flying but crossing the Canadian border with either one is pretty quick and easy. Yes, I think that is the name for it in other states; Real ID is the Pennsylvania name for it. Pennsylvania should have done it when everyone else did but many legislators were worried it was a World ID conspiracy thing! Go figure! PA was going to lose federal road funding so they finally agreed. Papers, please.
  16. Geddy, he plays bass (which I once dabbled with) and keyboards. Talk about bass, and keys, and wine, and dogs, and baseball. But I'd also like to throw him a curve - lock him in a room with a B3 and a Leslie and say "here ya go man, let's hear whatcha got."
  17. The Whores of RSM Music Hall does it again.
  18. Stopped at the local Miller's Ale House for a bit of lunch and a couple of cold ones, and the sound system was pumping out a steady stream of Classic Rock. Steve Miller, Kinks, Bad Company, etc. But the real grin was when they broke out Spirit's "Fresh Garbage." :D
  19. Fresh Cream was one of the first rock albums I discovered, about the same time as Are You Experienced. Rest well, Ginger.
