I agree about U2 way over rated. BUT Back in the early 80's I thought they were pretty good. I had a friend who liked them as much as I liked so I had to listen to alot of their early stuff and some of it wasn't that bad and they weren't over played so they were tolerable. I was offered a ticket to see them on The Unforgettable Fire tour but turned it down and it was shortly after that I bought The Unforgettable Fire and LOVED IT!!! The Title track is my fave U2 song as well. I saw them on the JT tour in May of 87.....Completely forgettable show so much so it was just last week someone here posted something that reminded me that I had actually seen them. Although JT was the record that turned U2 into a colossus...I think TUF is better.

I watched Blood And Sand with my wife...Lots of sex, blood, gore, and there was some funny stuff as well...and the story was good too with good characters and plots and sub plots. That was really good. My wife LOVED Andy Whitfield (RIP) and it was usually a good time in the sack after watching an episode. Only watched a couple episodes ofthe second series though although it seemed like it coupld have had potential. Haven't seen any of the new season though....Have to check it out.

Manzarek was a great keyboard player, Krieger was a great guitar player and Morrison was one of ther all time great!!! Those two remind me of Lerxst in that they weren't afraid to step back to create atmostphere instead of being in the forefront of every song. When You're Strange was a really good documentary if you haven't seen it. (Wasn't as good as BTLS though...not even close) L.A. Woman is one of my all time faves but I think I'd have to go with Riders as my ultimate Doors song though. Haven't seen The Story Of L.A. Woman....I' wanna check it out. I am the Lizard King......I can do anything.

I was first turned onto when Tom Sawyer was released but I'd say PW is the iest.
