'Rush built their following the right way. No hype, no b@llsh!t, they did it from the ground up. Their legacy is incredible and their influence undeniable.' - Dave Grohl This feature-length documentary film chronicles the final major tour for legendary rock band Rush. It is an intimate view 'under the hood' of a historic moment from the perspective of the band, their fans, crew, and management. Featuring interviews with the band throughout their sold-out 2015 40th Anniversary tour, the film also shows rarely seen backstage footage capturing the final moments of life on the road. Highlighted as well is the impact on the band's fans and the world that has been built around the beloved Canadian trio. This is the final touring chapter of a band that has meant so much to so many fans around the world. With narration by Paul Rudd. Running time: 1 hour 37 minutes of documentary footage with an additional 67 minutes of never-before-released bonus content. 'It's true that Rush doesn't mean today what it did in '76 or even '96. It may mean more.' - Rolling Stone Track Listing: When I Was a Kid It's a Really Hard Life A Huge Accomplishment Building R40 Fan-Tastic Hello Toronto 'Ride On' Neil Your Weakest Point Marathon Not a Sprint At Road's End BONUS CONTENT: (NEVER BEFORE RELEASED) 'Live from the Rabbit Hole' -Subdivisions -Superconductor -Show Don't Tell -The Pass -Closer to the Heart -Manhattan Project -Scars -War Paint -Tom Sawyer -2112: Overture / La Villa Strangiato / In The Mood The Professor's Warmup

Absolutely phenomenal album - not sure if it is their best but damn close to it All around phenomenal records are aplenty in Rush's catalog with Hemispheres being at the top or close to it There are issues to be found with each of their masterpieces

Is the magazine already out with Neil? Is he on the cover or have I completely missed it? Which is possible lately I know he's on the upcoming modern drummer mag A cover story
-
I'm surprised all those songs fit on only 3 CDs
-
It's November 20th
-
The only obvious answer to this is TOOL!!!!! They are the best That is all

There is no replacing Neil in Rush But if Rush is over and Geddy and Alex want to still play and create a new project then a new drummer is needed If the other two want to perform and get a fill in drummer for their own material and covers and a bit of Rush for shows then there is no better option than Gavin Harrison Tim Alexander would be great too Geddy and Alex already are friends with Gavin and Tim so it would work and could be very good

My prediction: Garden Road in full @ Finale
bscsmkr replied to Alph Seeker's topic in R40 Tour Forum
Neil won't leave like he has always done I'm sure there is a pretty big after party once the final show is played I could see all three of them together at the front of the stage -
Worst Concert Review Ever? VH @ Red Rocks
bscsmkr replied to Faithless Mover's topic in Music Of The Spheres
I think they should just tour as a 3 piece with Wolf on vocals If you heard the soundcheck recordings he sounds good He lacks charisma and stage presence but they'd be fine and they could cover their entire catalog Or if Roth would just sing them toned down he'd be fine He sounds fine when he's not trying to sing them differently The band is playing great but Roth is ruining it a bit -
Rush playing Summerfest in Milwaukee - is there a chance?
bscsmkr replied to Lost In Xanadu's topic in On The Lighted Stage
Well if the rumors hold true for additional dates maybe Milwaukee will get one at the Bradley Center And no I don't think anyone has heard of the band book for the 4th at Summerfest -
PW - Marathon Hold Your Fire - Open Secrets or Prime Mover Presto - Red Tide T4E - Totem Got to get more in there that has never been played Not a fan of Emotion Detector so that one to me can stay unplayed Prime Mover would be my choice, but Open Secrets just because it hasn't been played, but then again Second Nature would be interesting but not in this current tour I think Totem is just a good song - one of the few from T4E and it hasn't been played live

I can't believe this is happening again Your friend is very wrong
-
I actually thought the same in a few places It's of course the interpretation of the tone in the written word But yes a little resentment and unhappiness Even if they understand or agree with what Neil's decision or choices ultimately are I think you can tell the other aren't all that excited about it ending Especially Geddy - a ball of f*ing energy They all have regrets No doubt We all do I still think another album at least and some shows - not tours Shows in LA, Toronto, New York, London - that's being very hopeful

Sounded amazing

The Real Reason this is the Last Major Tour This is not a joke
bscsmkr replied to madrushian's topic in Rush
They are still going to be a band They are still going to release music They are still going to play shows They've said all this They've only said no more extensive tours The band is not done They've mentioned a series of shows at particular places with no real travel involved Shorter shows Less demanding 10 gig summer tours 5 shows over two weeks at a particular venue Clear out the vaults Release new music as they make it through their website and Rush backstage It's not over Just these types of tours Not yet anyway Not yet imo -
Thank you John Great pics I still don't think this band is done I think they are just crossing off 40 years No way it's completely over Or maybe I'm just trying to not face reality:)

Good morning TRF...here is your St. Paul recording
bscsmkr replied to Justin Case's topic in R40 Tour Forum
I just listened to the quick samples on dime A huge thank you to tapehead Will most likely dl it later From the samples I still thought Tulsa was a little better More clarity Drums are more crisp and booming But it's only the samples I'm basing that off of Better than Lincoln though -
Man I wish this was large hi def pic It's awesome to see
-
Too short but still awesome to see This would be the perfect tour to release live CDs from each show Mistakes and all This is a once in a lifetime thing that they've finally decided to do and it would be awesome to give the fans the ultimate souvenir of what could be our last shows ever seeing them

Logical Question seeking Logical Answer from Diehards
bscsmkr replied to AtticusRules's topic in R40 Tour Forum
I would prefer that neither of these songs make an appearance in this tour I understand the kids thing but as "diehard" fans I just don't want them anymore So I really hope they both stay out
