pjbear05
Yes, Texas A&M should have been in, they would have been a more worthy opponent than ND.As much as I hate Ohio State, I sure hope Justin Fields is 100%, it wouldn't be right otherwise."Are you ready for a war?"Bet the over, and be prepared for a late night next Monday. Look for the winner by way of last offensive possession or overtime. Edited January 3, 2021 by pjbear05

For sure the Aggies played pissed off last night. That second half was brutal. Would love to see A&M v ND, Touchdown Jesus vs The 12th Man. And again, the boys in Vegas better juice the over/under for next Monday, that's going to be a HUGE prop bet.

pjbear05
What 'Bama did to Ohio State last night was obscene. Although at first I was afraid my main proposition (bet the over) was going into the toilet. But both teams eventually responded. And as much as I hate admitting it, Saban is the GOAT, no denying it now.

goose
Where is everyone on expanding the playoffs? I think I'm in favor, not because of it being a better way to determine a champion, but the bowl concept seems to have run its course.

Seriously though, 8 is the perfect number, that would encompass all of the champions from the power 5 conferences, one rep from the non power 5, and two at large teams. This has been true for the last 15 years, at least.

pjbear05
I'm in favor of expanding to 8 or even 16 teams. You pull it off by putting everyone in a conference and none of games vs pansies at the start of the season. You chance a conference champ like this year's NFC East, but such is conference play. And enough of "it won't work"- Division 2 has been doing it for years.

That's 24 teams getting into post-season action and the fans getting something more meaningful than the modern bowl games.

He was a great coach and from what I understand,a nice guy too.

driventotheedge
Oklahoma and Texas moving to the SEC. I find it rather amusing that Texas thinks they're actually still relevant in competing for a College Football playoff spot but they do bring ratings cuz like their NFL brethren in Dallas, their fans still actually believe they matter.Anywho, my interest in Collège football continues to wane and this will just add to that feeling.
