troutman
Right now? Any of my parents' cooking. Miss my mom's lasagna or my dad's grilling. Dumbasses at the sandwich shop ruined my lunch. Covered the sandwich in mayonnaise after I told them I didn't want any mayo. I suppose it's my mistake for not looking in the bag until after I got back to my place. Couldn't watch what they were doing either cause it was behind the counter. Mayonnaise is easily one of the worst things ever created.

Lorraine
That reminds me - all of this Italian talk..... The feast of St. Anthony is coming up and they always have a week long festival in Little Italy in Manhattan. Don't know if they still do, but they used to. Anyway, it got me thinking how much I would love a bunch of zeppoles smothered in powdered sugar.

I guess growing up around Chicago, they'd want to claim the world's most delicious food.

I'm sure it is just as good, if not better, in Chicago. I often think if anyone from the east coast wants to make a killing, they ought to come out here and start a real bagel place and a real pizza place.

The Analog Cub
Did some digging last night cause I was curious what would even be open late at night in Des Moines that my parents and I would go to in Des Moines. My plane doesn't land till 10pm delay-free, and by the time we get out of the airport it's going to be midnight. Need some good American grub. Found a sports bar that's open till 1am
satchmothesnowdog
Gino's East sounds f***ing delicious right now.Hell yeah. THere's one 30 minutes from me and now a Lou Malnatis opened about 25 minutes and Giordanos has always been about a half hour. I do have to say, moving to wisconsin wasn't too bad, pizza wise. They don't f**k around up here, as evidenced by all the lard asses
