The future Mrs Lee is in there somewhere too.

Hmm one of their bar gigs in Canada before they started touring the states?

"A Clockworking Man Orange"

Milk and beer served there.

Or vellocet, synthemesc, or drencrumb

Hahaha! I am kroovy brother. You are just groovy.

Spare me some cutter me brother. I'm divorced and loving it.

Dude,

I majored in English, I had to read so much I fukking hated it.

But I found time to read the Burgess classic on my own spare time.

I loved reading it. It was a challenge. I had to keep flipping to the back of the book the glossary to read what each word meant.

I think it was a merge of Russian, English and Anthony's own creation.

I loved the book. It was so fun.

Everyone on here should read "A Clockwork Orange."

Of course he movie is just as good. JMO

Bonus stuff in the book!!!

Well, the movie didn't include the 21st chapter that Burgess originally wrote. Don't know what to think about that since I loved both. I just happened to see the flick before reading the book.

I remember reading somewhere that the omission of the 21st chapter would appeal more to American readers/audiences because of the darker ending. And apparently, (in publishers' and filmmakers' minds at the time) we yanks prefer darker endings. Burgess didn't like the idea of that chapter being omitted.

I fear the day when A Clockwork Orange is filmed again...I especially have nightmares of it being redone by Tim Burton.

You and I are so much alike. It's amazing dude.

I remember reading the 21st chapter too. I was so excited because like you I saw the movie first. I loved the book and the film.

I too am in fear of a lame remake.

Tim Burton is a good call. I seriously hope not. His vision of WIlly Wonka was shite. I would rather hear Primus covering that soundtrack buddy.

David Cronenberg hasn't done anything in a long time.

I wish David would have done the "Clockwork" remake.

It would have been fukking creepy and dark.

Signed,

"Shivers" is a great Cronenberg film.

"Deadringers"

"Scanners"

"The Fly"

I am really worried about John Carpenter. He hasn't made anything in a long time too.

I know you are a "Halloween" guy like me.

What if Carpenter did "Clockwork?"

Ugh.

All of my favorite musicians and directors are getting old..........

No remake by anyone.

Kubrick is my Rush of filmmakers. I don't want anyone covering Natural Science. I don't want anyone remaking A Clockwork Orange.

Tim Burton...he can go remake something shitty like his own shitty vision of Planet of the Apes back in the 90s or whenever that was. Go have Johnny Depp running from gorillas before tossing them into the oven and making ape pies. Sing.

I can't believe how much you and I have in common.

That Burton "Planet Of Crepes" was one of the worst movies ever made.

I love Burton for "Nightmare Before Christmas." A masterpiece.

I can see it now...A Clockwork Orange 2018 directed by Tim Burton and starring Mark Wahlberg as Alex...Vin Diesel, The Rock and Bradley Cooper as the droogs. Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman would need to be worked in somewhere also.

It would definitely be "fart in church" material.

Tim Burton = Depp, Helena Bonham Carter, and music by Danny Elfman. No matter how shitty it is, many would think it's genius for it's dark take on the subject material...regardless of it being the same images and virtually the same music being used in every film he makes...zzzzzz

I totally get it. I love this mathematical equation. Jamie Lee Curtis + Tom Atkins + Kurt Russell + Donald Pleasance = JOHN CARPENTER. My favorite buddy.
