He does have great songs. Have you ever heard Open All Night from the Seeger Sessions cd? Great shit.

Let's not go crazy now

I actually liked that song better when it was called Johnny B Goode done by Chuck Berry

Seriously, I just watched the Seeger Sessions version - god, that's awful ... that's why I've felt the way I have

558. Cold Chisel -

(goose)

There's just something about the Aussie sensibility that attracts me. There's a certain naive emotional quality to it. So bands like Midnight Oil, AC/DC, The Church, and Little River Band are among my favorite acts. Cold Chisel is an iconic band in Australia, having burst onto the scene in the late 70's. An Aussie friend of mine turned me on to them when we were both doing our exchanges in Mexico. This is there third album, and their best, IMO. It produced an international hit in

( :musicnote: "Cheap wine and a three-day growth..." :musicnote: ), and contains CC classics like
,
, Star Hotel and Four Walls. Cold Chisel speaks to the working man and the underdog.

559. Todd Rundgren's Utopia - RA (Self-Indulgence)

Give this one a listen if you love progressive rock. Utopia at their peak.

Actually, it's only the first Utopia album that has Todd Rundgren's name in the title(as the band name). The band at the time of this recording were just called "Utopia." If you don't mind, I will change it on future lists to reflect what the album says.

Yeah, I know he has a new album out but this classic first album by him, from 1978, deserves to be on the list more than his others(I admit to not hearing the last two though). Other than the vocals and the guitar this doesn't sound much like Pink Floyd from the same time period. So if you are thinking this a long lost PF sounding album you will be dissapointed. However, it's a very solid album with a few twists and turns and a couple of good instrumental tracks(including the opener). Also, "No way out of here" is one of his best songs.

I skipped over Evolution because I think this one is much better. I saw these guys 3 times in this era and they were great. The only great band I ever saw with my then new wife as she loved them too...

No way out of here is worth the cost of the album by itself.
