The hook to Change of Heart really does remind me of a chessey 80's commercial.

YOU GOT THE POWER..........OF COLGATE!!!!!!!!!!!

OK...I really crush on Change Of Heart and Mr Friendly...

But truth be told, they are the weakest points on the album.

Let It Go has a real Kingdom Of Desire meets Isolation vibe.

I don't remember this song! Surprise of the day! I LOVE IT!!!!!

Reeferman should have been the official closing track.

It sounds like Miles Davis at his best.

Playing Isolation.

No. Fergie is perfect. Kimball should have stayed at the taxidermist.

Isolation now sits at number two as my second favourite Toto album. Tambu is still AMAZING.

Blue J might fare best with Falling In Between.

:hi:

Duly noted.

Even before the debut?

I think the debut is essential, but FIB has a lot of proggier textures, and I usually use songs off it to sway my friends over who think Toto is nothing but pop cheese.

I think it sounds a lot less Toto like than most Toto albums, whilst still being excellent. (I don't love the whole thing, but if you saw my ratings, you know I immensely enjoy most of it).

The gospel tinged Spiritual Man and the title track really hit me hard! And Bottom Of Your Soul is melodic and complex and just terrific through and through!

FIB is nor what i would put on first......but that's only cause i don't really prefer my Toto to be proggy......but it is a great album.

Mick

Prog Toto is better than Blues Toto.

Some of his blues inflected solo work is ace, but High Price Of Hate and 21st Century Blues are WEAK.

Even outstanding musicianship doesn't save that shockingly bad song. Worst Toto song, and it has no close contest with anything else.
