Mick- unrelated question...have you ever listened to much jazz music?

I just wondered...I had no idea if you have, or if you like any of it.

I think you would like any of the three, Addicted, Epicloud, or Sky Blue. All three represent a trilogy of fun catchy pop metal, I truly can't pick a favorite of them. And then there is Ziltoid the Omniscient which is a cheesy concept album about an alien invading Earth in search of our finest coffee bean.

gonna do that trilogy next then.

oh BTW. the 2nd half of Terria was much less harsh, lol

but i really like the whole thing.

He can be out there. but he writes great melodies. and a pretty versatile voice also.

The trilogy also includes vocals by the wonderful Anneke Van Giersbergen

These songs.

The Glass Prison (Six Degrees)

This Dying Soul (Train of Thought)

The Root of All Evil (Octavariuum)

Repentance (Systematic Chaos)

The Shattered Fortress (Black Clouds)

Are All part of 1 piece called the 12 step Suite. About Portnoy's Alcohol Addiction. And all share musical motifs. and recurring lyrics.
