bluefox4000
Drama wasn't the worst album, and it is at least better than Union... But yes, Yes needs Jon Anderson. Sadly, I am a new fan in the wrong era. Drama has some ok tunes.......but no Anderson no dice. MickDrama isn't good at all in my view... I think i'm Easier on it cause i know Anderson came back. but even then when he did it was not that good. A lot of prog bands went pop....but yes......being blunt.......kinda sucked at it, lol The Ladder was friggin' great though. bluefox4000
Mick, I absolutely love 90215 and Big Generator. But each to their own! No sweat.......i enjoyed them when i was first getting back into yes months back. but i quickly found they had little replay for me. Which makes me a 70's yes guy with the Ladder thrown in, lol Mick

Oh Segue......Ya heard Union? Ghastly isn't it? lol Mick Haha. Rick Wakeman calls it Onion because it makes him cry. I love Drama. Its in the higher echelon of Yes albums imo. But yeah I dont really listen to anything post Generator. Even that album is mostly a fail for me. Shoot High and Im Running are great. Never could take 90's Yes but I did like some of Fly From Here. Would have been better with Horn singing. Whats his name does a decent impression though. Better han he did JA. Ive never been a huge JA fan so the fact thats hes not with them any longer doesnt bother me. The last one sucks donkey balls.
Segue Myles
I think the first time I tried Yes, Anderson's voice turned me off. Then I randomly started Tales one day and the opening vocals on Revealing sucked me in and that was all it took to convert me...

Oh Segue......Ya heard Union? Ghastly isn't it? lol Mick I think Union would have been decent if there weren't so many hands messing with it... Sort of like GTR...I heard that that was a GREAT album until people tried to mess with it to make it a little more "accessible" to the masses.... I also heard an answer to a question at a Rick Wakeman solo concert...after the show Rick would come out, sign stuff and answer questions, someone asked about Union and the ABWH stuff that was supposed to come out, and he said that the ABWH stuff was good, and that they were well on their way to having (in their minds) a good second album, and were anxious to refine things in the studio. he said when their management got together it got out of their control, but they decided to go along with it because of the tour concept. But they were planning on another ABWH album and tour. I thought the Union shows were great, though....

Digital Dad
Yeah, when I started listening to Yes it was 90125. That was my frame of reference. Little did I know. In and around the lake, mountains come out of the sky they stand there. Right, okay bra. ;) Even some of the more fantastic Genesis stuff. Suppers Ready? WTF? At least then there is some of it that doesn't sound so airy fairy, but at least they put some ballsy music behind it.

Tony R
If there is one thing that I honestly CANNOT stand and it pisses me off SO much is fans who turn their back on their favorite band because of these reasons. A. It's not the original band anymore B. The lead singer doesn't sound the same as he did 30 years ago. How the HELL can you possible classify yourself as a fan of whatever band if you're just going to complain about stuff that obviously comes with the package with older bands? A true fan stands by their band and their bands history, good or bad. And if you're going to sit there and say stuff like "David Lee Roth is a horrible singer, I don't like VH anymore." or "Tommy Thayer and Eric Singer aren't real members of KISS and they suck now." Then guess what, you obviously don't support those bands anymore. What a load of hysterical shit.

Segue Myles
Its funny, as I am starting to enjoy the era of Kansas without Steve Walsh. Seriously, Audio Visions, Vinyl Confessions and Drastic Measures are fantastic AOR albums! So on occasion, the loss of a classic line up doesn't equate loss of quality.
