This is a pretty exact replica (color, strips etc) of the car I spent alot of my teenage years riding around in. My best friend owned it and it would plant you against the headrest when he hit the gas. 1972 Camaro Z28. My recollection was it was bad@ss... I just noticed it has Maryland plates as well

Here is another very rare and valuable Corvette.

The 1963 Z06.

http://www.corvetteblogger.com/images/content/041008_1.jpg

63 was the only year with the split window. A 63 fuel injected 327 could fetch six figures. A Z06 could bring up to $300,000, especially if it has the 36 gallon fuel tank, which was desirable for racing.

I loved that style of Camaro. To bad they rusted so bad. You don't see many of those today. :(

And not nearly as cool looking as the Superbird or Daytona.

1954 Oldsmobile F-88 - This one fetched $3,240,000 at an auction in 2007.

I just did a little research on the F-88. It's a concept car, built on a Corvette chassis, and that is the only one known to exist today.

The King's car. :notworthy:

Next to the late '60s Camaros and Firebirds, the early '70s Roadrunners had my favorite noses ever. The front of that car is SO badass.

How did the light covers work on that thing?

Looking at pictures, I think those covers just pop off.

I thought that might be the case with that one.

1970 Plymouth Superbird

http://www.chryslerinthenews.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/plymouth_road_runner_superbird_image_11.jpg

For 1970, NASCAR raised the production requirement from 500 examples to one for every two manufacturer's dealers in the United States; in the case of Plymouth, that meant having to build 1,920 Superbirds.

I always thought that the Daytona and Superbird were both built in 1970, but they built the Daytona in 1969, and the Superbird in 1970. They only built 503 Daytonas, and only 70 of those had the 426 Hemi.

Urban legend Plymouth was 19 cars short so they drove the first 19 back around to the end of the line to be counted again by the NASCAR official.

I'm a GM guy, but I think Mopars were faster and better looking than the Fords during the 60s and early 70s.

One of the den leaders in my son's Cub Scout pack has a 68 Cuda rusting away in his driveway. No matter what year, Cudas have always looked cool.
