JohnRogers
http://assets.hemmings.com/story_image/344581-1000-0.jpg?rev=2Like the original Z28 the Challenger T/A and AAR 'Cuda were built to qualify for Trans Am racing. Although the race cars could only have a maxium of 305 cubic inch engines the streets cars came equipped with a 340 V8 with six barrel carburators. Unlike most muscle cars these were focused for road course type driving.

ILSnwdog
1967 Chevrolet Corvette L88 http://www.barrettjackson.com/staging/carlist/items/Fullsize/Cars/161046/161046_Front_3-4_Web.jpgThat's the car I would love to have, but probably a little (well, a lot) too rich for my blood. Corvettes with 427s can be worth up to six figures. An L-88, which was the souped up 427, is worth well over $100,000. :( ETA...I think that very Corvette sold for over $3,000,000 at auction. There were only 20 L88 Corvettes made in 67http://www.autoblog.com/2014/01/18/barrett-jackson-2014-1967-chevrolet-corvette-l88-sells-3-million/ Edited March 11, 2015 by ILSnwdog

You could get a 396, or the 454, and there were two 454s. The LS-5 and the LS-6. The LS-6 had 450 hp and 500 ft/lbs of torque. That's an obscene amount of torque! :haz: There is no substitute for cubic inches. :fury:
