1970 Plymouth Superbird

http://www.chryslerinthenews.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/plymouth_road_runner_superbird_image_11.jpg

For 1970, NASCAR raised the production requirement from 500 examples to one for every two manufacturer's dealers in the United States; in the case of Plymouth, that meant having to build 1,920 Superbirds.

Like the original Z28 the Challenger T/A and AAR 'Cuda were built to qualify for Trans Am racing. Although the race cars could only have a maxium of 305 cubic inch engines the streets cars came equipped with a 340 V8 with six barrel carburators. Unlike most muscle cars these were focused for road course type driving.

1971 Duster 340

Like the Chevy Nova. The formula was the same for the Plymouth Duster, although the max engine from the factory was the 340 V8.

1967 Chevrolet Corvette L88

http://www.barrettjackson.com/staging/carlist/items/Fullsize/Cars/161046/161046_Front_3-4_Web.jpg

That's the car I would love to have, but probably a little (well, a lot) too rich for my blood. Corvettes with 427s can be worth up to six figures. An L-88, which was the souped up 427, is worth well over $100,000. :(

ETA...I think that very Corvette sold for over $3,000,000 at auction. There were only 20 L88 Corvettes made in 67

1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 LS6

The LS-6 was the most powerful of the 70 Chevelles. You could get a 396, or the 454, and there were two 454s. The LS-5 and the LS-6. The LS-6 had 450 hp and 500 ft/lbs of torque. That's an obscene amount of torque! :haz:

There is no substitute for cubic inches. :fury:

I work with a guy who lives in Kenosha Wisconsin, not far from where the AMC plant was located. He has a 70 or 71 Javelin. It's a small block, not the 390, but it's still a nice looking car.
