Turbine Freight Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 I'm having a go at Tooth & Nail by Dokken. It's a great riff but the solo takes a lot of work to get under the fingers. 2
Disk98 Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 I've sort of been playing the same old setlist lately when I practice. R30 OvertureThe Spirit of RadioCome TogetherThe SeekerCrossroadsMoneyCaravanThe Big MoneyYYZ Starting to get old. 1

CygnusX-1Bk2 Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 Brian May is great indeed, likewise John Deacon. I have been working on the bass line for Life's Been Good (Joe Walsh) which is really odd when it gets to the guitar solo. The rest is easy but there are phrases in the guitar solo that seem random, despite being mostly in A. Also been working on Won't Get Fooled Again, rather getting the rust off. Haven't played that for a while. Working up Voyager by Gamma and Still Got The Blues by Gary Moore. 1
Turbine Freight Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 Gary Clark Jr - Third Stone From the Sun/If You Love Me Like You Say Another Dr. Cooper fuzzfest!
Turbine Freight Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Rory Gallagher - Tattoo'd Lady. This is hard to get just right. It's only when you try & play his stuff you realise just how great he was. SRV's stuff makes me feel the same way when I try to play that too.

The Analog Cub Posted May 4, 2015 Author Posted May 4, 2015 Went into a guitar store today to get the withdrawals out and grabbed the first LP I could get my hands on. Various noodlings of: When My Train Pulls In - Gary Clark Jr.Achilles Last Stand - Led ZeppelinPaschendale - Iron MaidenStory Of A Quarryman - Joe BonamassaThe TreesAlexander The Great - Iron Maiden Probably a couple other songs I played around with but can't remember. Just barely over a month before I get my gear back... 3
