Narps
Ok, i am going to play Hemispheres now and see how i feel about it. Bear in mind my statements regarding this song refer to my opinion on it from about july time. I havent heard it for months!Would you like us to sit with you and point out what you are missing? If not....Narps and Mick, will you help me prepare the chamber for our good comrade Segue.? :smoke: Delete every criticism i have ever posted about this song. It has been on for three minutes and i am absolutely gobsmacked: i have shivers...Geddy sounds so beautiful! O my days...sorry sorry sorry sorry sorry SORRRRRRYYYYYYYYY! This is better than Presto...guys i am so sorry...this is the era of Rush that first hooked me (eighties came later), anf this song is a 10/10. "I bring truth and understanding" Ok SavageGrace...sorry but this is a top three album. I will say one thing in my defence: ...ok i have nothing...Love this guy. He's a pistol for sure.... :)
bluefox4000
It's amazing i ever got around to liking it. I'm like the Anti-Segue. In that normally. If something's on my shit list it stays. This....trust me........was a RARE turn arround. Mick
Segue Myles
Yes, I do feel cleansed after listening to Hemispheres. My brain is thoroughly washed. Only epic albums i like more is Yes' CTTE-Relayer. Especially Topographic (currently close to topping Lacuna Coil's Karmacode as my all time favourite album).

Lorraine
I only listen to my music with headphones, but there is one part of Hemispheres that I love what is done with Geddy's voice. It's at 10:26 and he is singing the word "hemispheres" -

Which reminds me: A lot of their 80s records that a lot find weak and thin sounds absolutely amazing on a quality pair of headphones. Quite the revelation for me :)

Lorraine
Just finished listening to it and I am in awe of that fact that they were so young when they wrote it. Talent always impresses me (having none of my own, I am always appreciative of it in others), but these three young men had an abundance of it. No wonder they had such confidence in themselves back then.
