Rod in Toronto
I just found out about this: Sammy Hagar has a new band called The Circle, with ex-VH Michael Anthony, Vic Johson who played with him in his solo career, and Jason Bonham on drums. I think they´re only playing old stuff: covers, his songs with Van Halen and solo career. Check them out:

ReRushed
I'm indifferent to all these Sammy Hagar projects. It all seems very generic. I do enjoy Sammy Hagar from time to time. He's a true rock and roll artisan. Anyway, is there a painting in his attic?
LEDZEPZOSO
Got to see him last year when he was doing the career spanning setlist and he also made it his birthday bash show. I was disappointed in the show, I want to hear him play his songs but he ended up playing five Zeppelin songs since Jason was the drummer. I could easily picked 5-6 songs from Sammy’s catalog that I would of liked to hear before more Zeppelin covers. The highlight of the encore when Chickenfoot came out and Satch played the first song with a bright orange/red wig. RUSHHEAD666
The Circle Jerks actually have a song called "American Heavy Metal Weekend." It's dedicated to Sammy Hagar.
