  1. I never understood why adults get so excited about glow sticks being givin out at shows. That and confetti shot into the crowd at end of shows. As for as Glow Sticks all right at a Jonas Brothers, One Direction or Selena Gomez concert but not an adult show.
  2. Key word M&G passes is HER M&G passes. If try to go through a DJ offer to donate $$ to whatever charity the radio station or DJ sponsers. If you want to go this route, get the Iheartradio app for your smart phone. You can listen to radio stations around the country and listen to see which are giving away tickets. Plus you can listen to some great rock radio stations (KSHE, Rock station out of San Diego) I never knew how bad my local station was until I listen to staions around the country.
  3. It depends on the situation, I had met Eric Singer a few times where it was he had to do the meet and Greet or signing. Found him to be somewhat cold and told my friends this. They are actually friends in real life with him. Last year after the last show at the Vegas residency friends and I where eating at a restaurant at the Hard Rock. Eric walks in and spots my friends so he joins us at the table. We ended up hanging out for 90-120 minutes and we had a hreat conversation about music and everything else under the sun. I agree that talking to the public KISS is not worth your time, but if you can talk yo them as a regular person they will be alot different from what the public persona is.
  4. Nobody has won any contests yet, LOL. As has been mentioned, they won't know 'til a day or two before their show. There's zero chance you're going to talk anyone outta giving up their meet and greet for a grand, bud. It just ain't gonna happen. Your best chance is to try and win contests like the rest of the fanbase. I dont think he will find anyone on this site that will sell them on this site, but they could have received a couple and not have anyone in mind for the second pass. Best bet would be radio station winners. Back in '88 when Zeppelin did the Madsion Square Garden show. a few Zep fans called around the country finding contest winners and got tickets to the show that way. I don't lnow how they got the info since this was pre internet days but they went o that length to secure tickets.
  5. Not worth it. You get 20-30 seconds at the most. I had a meet and greet a few tours ago and right before going in I told a friend he could have it. I am a big Rush fan, but he worshipped Rush so it meant more to him. I don't even ask any of my friends if they can get me into the meet and greet. They tend to be get them in and get them out. Also it would help if you listed what shows you are looking to go to or are you willing to travel anywhere. The problem is alot of the passes that are giving away to radio station will not be until a day or two before the show. They will give away tickets all week and have a grand prize drawing for a meet and greet but it is always last minute. Friends I know that get meet and greets from the radio station never know until the day before the show. Though they usually always get Rush since it is one of their favorite bands. Good luck to you, personally like someone mention I would go to more shows then spending money on a meet and greet. If you really want to meet them take a chance and try to figure out what hotel they will stay at. In Vegas it is most likely the Four Seasons. Just sit outside the venue before the show and see what vehical they arrive in. You be surprised how many times they arrive in a white courtesy van with the hotel logo on the side. Friend got me a KISS meet and greet and invited me (I think as a joke since I do not care for KISS). You walk in a room and told to stand in front of them. Click Click two photo's and the next group is walking in. Rush is not that bad, but at most a sentance or two and you will never see Neil.
  6. If it is on a true broker site it is probably more legit then any other place selling them. The brokers are not stupid. They hate fake tickets etx. It puts a bad eye on them. in fact they will rat out people selling fakes in front of venues.

  8. Ticketmaster is slowly hidding what is really available. They will block out seats to make the show seem like it is selling better then it is. hoping to get people to buy thinking it os getting close to selleing out. If you look at AXS tickets they will only give you a small sample of what is actually available in each section.
  9. Thanks for the great link. I love looking at old tour schedules with oprning bands listed. Especially back in the 70's where bands could change on a weekly basis. I is amazing how Max Webster never broke in the US with so many years of opening for Rush.
  10. Selling for more then face is not illegal except for maybe 5-10 states. The selling on property is where the issue is mostly. In Nevada you can sell for anything you want. But youi are not allowed to sell on the property that is holding a show. Not even for a $1. In fact security when they have fiving people a hassle for giving away tickets Each state is different, the last time I was in Cincinnataia you could sell at the venue but had to have a reseller license that had to be on your body. In Glendale you can sell on property but you have to in the assigned reseller location. Talked to a broker and they said if they tried to sell outside the designated selling area, they most likely be arrested if caught. Which made buying a pain in the butt, since they where all in one area, they would not undercut each other and kept the prices inflated the one time I went to buy a event. As for beung stuck, yes they will drop the price. But if the heat is to hot or the prices get to low they just go home. They can always use unsold tickets as business expenses. They prefer not to, but I have seen them go home then deal with all the B.S. I'm in a deceent situation, I have had brokers give me tickets to shows as long as I return the ticket the next day so they could use them as a business loss.
  11. Got to see him last year when he was doing the career spanning setlist and he also made it his birthday bash show. I was disappointed in the show, I want to hear him play his songs but he ended up playing five Zeppelin songs since Jason was the drummer. I could easily picked 5-6 songs from Sammy’s catalog that I would of liked to hear before more Zeppelin covers. The highlight of the encore when Chickenfoot came out and Satch played the first song with a bright orange/red wig.
  12. I know brokers that sell VIP tickets with will call pick up only. The other drawback with will call pick up is if a true fan buys a Vip tickets and something happens whrer they cannot go to the show they be stuck with eating the ticket.
  13. Check out Lili Haydn if you want to check out violinist. I first heard of here when I say Page Plant in '95 in LA. She joined them on stage for Kashmir. Then she opened up for them on the '98 tour. Her first CD "Lili" is great, more of a rock feel. Since then she has been all over the place musically. Tried to look on Youtube but nothing from the first CD is available. With her being on a small label she never made a official video for the 1st CD. Here is a link for a couple of her random video's With Roger Waters https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4nxDkNr2V2U
  14. I agree. No way could pick a seat work in the first few hours for a onsale. Imagine every person would be picking the same seats all at once. I love the feature since it will show you how well the a show is selling. Though in the last year or so they have jeld back seats available to entice people to buy if they only see a few hunded tickets left.
  15. Its a while before the show, give it a little bit of time. It might just be a clitch. If you want to check the barcode, go to Ticketmaster exchange and enter your bar code as if you are going to sell the ticket. I think when you enter the barcode it will pull up the event. If the barcode is bad it will tell you its a invalid barcode. Worse case scenario, get to the venue early, so if you do have any problems the day of the show you will have time to work with the box office and ticketmaster. 120 miles is nothing. I've gone 1400 miles one way with no tickets for Metallica (Portland) Page Plant (Vancouver) Page Plant (Gorge) Page Plant (Portland and a couple of Mariner games. Was able to get tickets with no problem for all the shows all below face value and with very good seats. The same year I did Page Plant (Kansas City) with no tickets. Ended up with 3rd row seats. Only problem was I forgot to ask for Page side of the stage. Just trying to tell you don't stress out about itwill work out one way or another.
  16. Luckily I am in a situation to see many artists on a regular basis. Though Heart has always been one of my favorite I find them a little boring. Too many cover tunes; they are a band that can easily do a two hour show of their own materiel they opt to do 80-90 minute sets with 3-5 cover tunes. In fact about a month ago I went through their catalog and counted 30 songs that they can play of their own and counted 30 tracks that most heart fans would love. For female artist I have seen put on a great show are; Melissa Etheridge: 2 1/2-3 hours show The usually ending of “I’m the Only One” “Bring Me Some Water” and “Like The Way I Do” stretching about 35-40 minutes. Terri Nunn/Berlin. Never was a fan of Berlin, in 2003 they had $5 tickets to her show and I had just started recording so I figure something I can practice on and if I screwed up no big deal. She walked on stage and within 5 minutes knew it was going to be a great show. Sent the tape to a friend in LA and was impressed also with the show. The next month she had a show in LA so I flew down there and went to the show in LA with my friend. He was so impressed we talked each other into going to the Seattle and Portland shows. Fiona Apple – Great performer Joan Jett – Another great performer. Did not expect too much from here but she kicks a**. Been going to concert since 1980 and have seen Joan three times all within 3 months of each other. Joss Stone - The first two LP are great. The first time I saw here was on the VH1 Diva show, blew everyone away with her stage presence and vocal. Jessica Simpson was on the bill also. Not a fan but that girl does have some pips on her. When she sang it sounded like they tuned the vocals up to thirteen. Lacuna Coil- Great voice, hot as hell and friendly. Was at Ozzfest and had to go to the car to get more batteries and tapes. Walked by her ad she was talking to fans in the VIP parking lot. On the way back 10-15 minutes later she was still talking to fans in the same location. Orianthi_ Been lucky to see her on a three solo shows and a couple with Alice Cooper. The three solo shows I have seen has been when she was promoting her pop/ rock CD “Believe”. I then has missed thee show on the “Heaven in this Hell” because of various reasons. Shania Twain - Great stage presence, tries to make everyone a part of the show. Saw her 13-14 times in the Vegas residency, though the set list stayed the same for two years she did little things to change up the show. She usually went out into the crowd for two songs every night, but she would change which songs she went out on. The intro’s for all the songs and her talking betweens songs where never the same. They usually carried the same message but were not a standard “Hello Vegas” that too many performer uses. Stevie Nicks – No reason needed
  17. I have seen the Celine Vegas show 6-7 times since she returned. She does have a great voice but she is so sterile its borderlines on boring. Everything is the same almost every night. Her steps, what she says to the crowd and even what she does with her fingers never change's. I also don't like the fact she does a lot of covers. I not completely familiar with her catalog but I cannot see a reason why she is doing 5-6 cover songs.
  18. Tulsa is along the line of Lincoln. They will might set up a few days in advance to do a walk through show. Nothing going on in the venue for over a week before the Rush date.
  19. I love stubhub, cheapest place to find tickets last minute for saturated shows. Brokers out front will never go as low as Stubhub. Even if I don't plan on going to certain shows I monitor the prices of shows just to get a good feel of the market. Here are some of the lowest I have seen for shows 07/12 Paul McCartney $10.00 Fargo ND 04/16 Lorde $4.99 Lorde The day before the show tickets where in the $89-90 range 12/06 Beyonce $2.00 10/25 Kayne West 10/25 $1.00 10/31 Britney Spears $12.15 Actually ended up going to this show. Was eating dinner with a friend that just got done with a rock tour and stopped by Vegas on the way home). While at dinner I jocked that Britney was going for $15. I thought he was joking. He said it was a Sunday night nothing else was going on and for $15 it was worth seeing a train wreck. Not all her dates get this low. If you learn your market city. You can usually look at the listing on Stubhub and tell if prices will drop in the future. Taking a quick look at Stub Hub I think the following cities will have some great deals 05/10 Lincoln 1500 tickets available in this morket also a Sunday show 05/14 St louis 2156 Tickets nig market but the midwest is not big on paying over face value 05/16 Austin 1574 Ticket 05/24 Tampa 2195 Tickets The only thing that might save this show is its the only FL date. 2100 ticcket on the secondary market is hard to push (lady Gaga Justin timberlake in Vegas at time have not been able to sell evrything out on stub hub.) The Vegas show has 2300 Tickets avalable and not sold out except for the $127 tickets. Until that happens people are not going to buy from teh secondary market. So Vegas will drop.
  20. I know I'm late to the thread. But brokers will still get and resell the VIP tickets. They won't do it often but if they know a show has a strong resell vaule they will risk it. The brokers I talked to said they have never not been able to get the tickets into the hands of the sellers. Even at shows that require pickup at the door.
  21. Vegas can be tough. Alot of those seats go to the casino. Last tour I was able to get 5 row in front of Geddy from someone that knew someone high up in the managment position. My friend has gotten me 4th row center for Sabbath For the Aerosmith/Slash show got 3rd row off the floor in the section by the stage. So with the band's VIP package and casino getting tix for the VIP's it can be tough.
  22. This is not usually true. EWhen brokers list tickets with awide reange of rows they do not know what they are getting until the last minute. Purchase through fan clubs, City/AMEX vip tickets, VIP tickets usually sells with a range of seats. Brokers buy them and they will not know until tyhey get them. The reason why seats are usually not listed on brokers site is a couple of reason. If they list exact row/seats the venue can determine the exact seller. Some venues will cancel the tickets if they are found. Some teams will actually cancel season tickets if a season ticket holder is found selling tickets. That is why if you look at some listing on Ebay they will lisy Sec 100 Row T but will also add that at their discrution yhey can upgrade your seats. So they probally have Sec 100 Row R but this hides them from getting busted. As for as Stubhub, and the Ticket Brokers (Ticket Network) they are 90% the same sellers. The inly difference is Stub Hubb has more non brokers selling then on the ticket networks, I use both and never had problems with either. I just go to the one that has the cheapest seats between them.
