Let him discover when he wants to. LESS IS MORE! This also depends on what sort of person you are. I'm the type that loves to get to know the history and background about a band that I'm either really just getting into/like the personalities of the band's members. Although, I used to watch the old marathon runs of Behind the Music on VH-1 in the channel's heyday and got turned on to a bunch of bands through it...Just depends on the person really. I'm like that too but the guy didn't ask for that information. And there's plenty of resources out there if you wants to discover more. He asked for the music not the background. This is overkill and a surefire way to kill a first date. I don't want to know every detail about you immediately. Let's get to the action first. Mystery is more erotic initially. I don't need to know all of your baggage yet. Why the hell am i just NOW realizing that this band absolutely KICKS ASS!!!!!!!!! I mean WOW!!! I saw RUSH: Live In Cleveland on VH1 and it was like an epiphany. Luckily I DVR'd it and I can NOT stop watching it now. What is the matter with me? Or should I say......what HAS BEEN the matter with me? Why did it take me this long to realize that these guys are amazing musicians? I have been missing out. But it is better late than never. Now I need someone to guide me into the world of RUSH. What CD's do I buy first? What DVD's should I buy first? I love live performances and from what I understand, and from what I have seen, this band is incredible live. So if someone could point me in the right direction I would really appreciate it. Then, make yourself some soup, and you're ready to immerse yourself in the world of Rush. I am loathe to recommend any one cd as a starting point.
