my band's version of Losing It which was played at RatCon this year.

I was actually a little nervous. Gerry Hilera was scheduled to play with us but unfortunately could not make it. Our guitar player, Andy, took the violin leads and the guitar parts. On an already tricky (for me anyway) keyboard pattern while singing I was picking up a few things as well that I wasn't counting on. Wasn't 100% sure it would work but, overall, pretty pleased with it.

It will now be part of our repertoire since we do not need a 4th player for it.

Congrats dude. You're a real disappointment to Chris Squire. He's shaking his head somewhere.

Seriously. Glad you're here and sharing your music. Talk about good stuff. Love your covers. I wanna hear CA bro!

Man, that drummer is f*ckin' GREAT!!! Sure, he added a few double-bass embellishments, but that's the closest I think I've ever heard a drummer play "Losing It." DEFINITELY impressive!

Equally impressive were the 80's guitarist's gut and vest! A few bum notes here and there, and like most guitarists too loud, but he definitely arranged a good idea doing the violin parts and used a good effect for it. Good idea for a great song!

And I definitely got a kick out of mini-Geddy with TV newsman hair nice and stoic while the guitarist jumped around all goofy just like Alex does.

This is the best of the Rush covers bands I've seen on this site.

Did I mention that the drummer is f'n GREAT?!?!!!???!??!!!?

I'm more comfortable with it now but at first, yeah. My fingers totally rejected the keyboard part at first. Very, very awkward. Granted, I'm more bass player and less keys but it took a while for that to get comfortable.

Andy (guitar) never seemed to doubt it. When I told him Gerry couldn't make it his only reply was "I got this". He's awesome.

My favorite part is on their version of "Jacob's Ladder" where the guitarist, in typical guitarist fashion, is so instantly bored during the middle keyboard section that he instantly lights up a cigarette the second the guitar part is through and just kinda stands there like a member of the audience, thinking "God how f'n long is this keyboard solo?!?!?!!!" until he can play his guitar again upon which time he is once more content.

I'm trying to imagine how he might otherwise occupy his time while waiting for his cue to begin playing again...
