it kind of looks like a beach in the sky. With a huge wave ready to come crashing down.

:smoke:

I like your power of imagination.

A question for all of you americans and canadiens: What is the view of foreign architecture? I sense a lot of romanticism towards the whole americana thing from where I am, but wondered if there is something likewise going on from north america? :)

Had I been consulted, I would rather have been born someplace in Europe than in the USA. There's very little that is romantic about the "whole americana thing". You are the ones that are steeped in history and culture.

The last task as far as post-flood clean-up: digging out the ditch designed to catch water during heavy rain. :laughing guy:

Anyway, I decided to make a shitty job fun by donning the I-shuffle and dressing like a mud-humping hick. I actually dig this kind of work. :yukyuk:

You look like a modern American hillbilly farmer working-class hero there. :ebert:

I fought against 4 cubic metre beech and oak wood yesterday, to be prepared for the winter and looked pretty the same like you.

All that axe wielding must've stretched out that tattoo a bit!

Haha, true man. But the photo is from the 90's and I'm more meagre nowadays. ;)

Thanks,

I have a knack for stuff like this. When I first saw the picture I went to another thread or two. But some thing in the photo brought me back. After analyzing it and looking again that's what I saw.

There is something very satisfying about the way one can feel entirely exhausted, after a good days labor. Plus there is usually no problem sleeping.

I should try that one day :P

Wow, you people have beautiful houses & yards!

I don't seem to have any photos of our place, at least not post-renovation (it was in crappy shape when we bought it, so I don't want to post photos of construction). But here is our view, looking at downtown San Francisco and the Oakland hills in the distance:

Is that taken from the hill the giant orange/white antenna is on? Twin Peaks area?
