I live in a dump compared to you people.

That makes us two.

Even your cars have more room than I have.

Not here in San Francisco!

Also, before I moved in with my now-husband I lived for 7-8 years in a little 39 sq m/425 sq ft apartment in a neighborhood where, if I was lucky enough to find a parking place, I wouldn't move it for days because I might not be able to park it again.

Went for a hike in the Sierras today. This is about 45 minutes from home, just west of Carson Pass, near Silver Lake and the "Potholes".

The Potholes, a series of pools carved into the granite.

And this is Silver Lake, with Sam and Winston.

And you should be proud! You worked hard for it and I'm only feeling a bit down because I don't have a job or very much to look forward to.

I'm afraid that is too late for me. I took a wrong path through the career-forest, but it's alright I'm only myself so whatever money I hopefully earn will be used on travels and experiences. I came with nothing and will leave as good as nothing when I'm gone.

The greatest part about living in a 16 sq m room is the very low rent. When I get a fulltime job a huge lump of my salary will be for enjoyment :madra:

The important thing in life is whether or not you enjoy it. So long as you are happy, and (when finances allow ;) ) doing things that you love, you don't really need anything else.

You're right :). It's easy to look at others and get sidetracked.

This used to be my house. The picture was taken back in 2008. I planted the crape myrtles back in 2006 or so.

Ah, I see your car in the garage there ;)

That "vehicle" belonged to my niece. And no matter where I have posted this picture in the past, someone says something about it.

Didn't know that you own a cathedral. :P

That front looks very interesting, how old is the church?

Oh, you know, it's the depandance. :P :P

It's XX century, it was rebuilt after the war. The bell tower should be more ancient, it's amazing, I've been on top once.

Very dramatic architecture, especially the angels with the trombones.

Yes, every time I pass by I think about photographing them and using on a black metal cover art... :laughing guy:
