Your_Lion
Eli Wallach, who was one of his generation’s most prominent and prolific character actors in film, onstage and on television for more than 60 years, died on Tuesday. He was 98. The Good, The Bad and The Ugly is one of my all time favourite movies, largely because of this guy. RIP To a great actor Full piece here: http://www.nytimes.com/2014/06/25/movies/eli-wallach-multifaceted-actor-dies-at-98.html Edited June 25, 2014 by Your_Lion

treeduck
Shit this guy was great! I was really happy to see he was still around (until today). I've been keeping an eye on him since he hit 90 (him and Kirk Douglas and a few other nonagenarian actors who died recently such as Herbert Lom, Mickey Rooney and Ernest Borgnine plus ones who died a few years ago Richard Widmark and Karl Malden). At least Kirk and Christopher Lee are still out there! RIP Eli and RIP Tuco and RIP Calvera.

invisible airwave
Just looked on IMDB and remembered he was the rabbi in the underrated Ed Norton film, Keeping The Faith. RIP Eli.

Union 5-3992
Damn, really upset to hear about him. I too have been following him in the hopes that he'll live to see a hundred. Really enjoyed his cameos in the new Wall Street film and Mystic River. RIP.

Lorraine
It is always sad when one more of the old-time Hollywood stars dies. He was quite the actor.

It's tough to try and watch it with people who might not appreciate such a "slow burner" but damn is the payoff worth it. "I LIKE BIG GUYS LIKE YOU, THEY MAKE MORE NOISE WHEN THEY HIT THE FLOOR!!!!"
