Admitting you're wrong

You mean, like, if you went and called somebody, say, a stalker - on a whim, without any evidence, would you properly apologize after you've been proved wrong, or just sweep it under the rug and pretend nothing happened?

I will be the first to admit that I love being right and the sound of my own voice. That said, when I don't know I say so (if you read my posts you know that much anyway) and when I am wrong I would be the first to admit it. There are some however that would go down with the ship and never admit it no matter how damning the evidence. We are all different and I guess we should cherish that. Life would be boring otherwise. I guess the Sterling case brought this all up huh? lol Nice thread BTW LIX :ebert:

Well, I'd hope nobody on here is dealing with a stalker! Been there, done that, no fun.

It's kind of a sign of emotional intelligence and class. Not all people possess that. I try to admit I'm wrong, but it might take a few minutes for me to realize it.

Class is kind of like porn in one way. Its hard to define but you know it and its obvious when you see it....

I guess you don't know/remember the story behind this, but the OP does.

I admit that I'm wrong all the time. No biggie. Like Narp said, if I don't know something then I don't act like I do. If somebody wants me to guess, then I tell them I'm just guessing.

Here's a better question: How hard is it to actually credit someone for being right? Again, I don't have a problem with doing this, because I like to find the good in people, but other people will never tell you that you were right, no matter what.

I am never wrong. And when I am I kill off the evidence.

You know.... We really aren't that different. Always being the "bigger" person isn't always easy if that makes sense. Sometimes "you" have to look bad in the short term and then others realize later.... :)

LOL, yeah... right. Did I ever say "you are a stalker"? I said "stalker-ish" or something like that.

Looks like someone is going to have to admit they were wrong here...or that someone else was right...
