A poll of my least favorite ree songs on CA!

The Wreckers is a clear winner here.

"Wish them well"

My favorite on CA.

This is the first time my 3 year old daughter sings a song of RUSH.

(...and say good BYE!!!)

My two oldest children are always asking me to play that song ... which is very rare for RUSH ...

Hard to decide between The Wreckers or Wish Them Well.

Both are wonderful to me.

I went with WTW...

by a tiny, tiny margin.

While Halo Effect is by far my least favorite song on the album, I noticed today as I was listening through the album that I have 0 desire to skip it. First off, it's a decent enough song, but also it's nicely placed on the CD to give a little breathing room in between a bunch of more rocking tracks, and the length is just about perfect so that when SSoG kicks in I'm primed and ready to rock again.

I'm not really a RUSH track skipper. The only track I skip regularly on a RUSH album is Rivendell...

Funny how great minds think a like pokey.gif

Wish them Well since first listen. The Wreckers is strong, but the "wary/contrary" bit gets a little tedious for me though...

Halo Effect is fine, but not in the other 2 songs league.

hey rocket i always wondered what you were and now i know smile.gif

just cutting to the chase like

edit: you know, i've never actually read the lyrics to cut to the chase for some odd reason so felt a need after seeing your name rocket... i knew they were good but seeing them written down kinda elevates em to absolute grandeur

"Cut To The Chase"

It is the fire that lights itself

But it burns with a restless flame

The arrow on a moving target

The archer must be sure of his aim

It is the engine that drives itself

But it chooses the uphill climb

A bearing on magnetic north

Growing farther away all the time

Can't stop moving

Can't stop moving

Can't stop...

You may be right

It's all a waste of time

I guess that's just a chance I'm prepared to take

A danger I'm prepared to face

Cut to the chase

It is the rocket that ignites itself

And launches its way to the stars

A driver on a busy freeway

Racing the oblivious cars

It's the motor of the western world

Spinning off to every extreme

Pure as a lover's desire

Evil as a murderer's dream

Young enough not to care too much

About the way things used to be

I'm young enough to remember the future

The past has no claim on me

I'm old enough not to care too much

About what you think of me

But I'm young enough to remember the future

And the way things ought to be

Cut

Cut...

Cut to the chase

You may be right

It's all a waste of time

I guess that's just a chance I'm prepared to take

A danger I'm prepared to face

Cut to the chase

What kind of difference can one person make?

Cut to the chase

^^^^ what a track i cant remember a better set of lyrics in the last 3 albums... at times neil's lyrics like these ones are songwriting genius when he keeps em abstract and simple
