Thought this would make for an interesting discussion...

The Who - Who's Next

Led Zeppelin - Led Zeppelin

Fleet Foxes - Fleet Foxes

Genesis - Nursery Cryme

Jethro Tull - Thick as a Brick

Cream - Disraeli Gears

Pink Floyd - Meddle

Joni Mitchell - Blue

Jefferson Airplane - Bless Its Pointed Little Head (Live)

Jimi Hendrix Experience - Are You Experienced?

Bjork - Post

Yes - The Yes Album

Radiohead - OK Computer

IMO, nothing overly surprising. Though as far as Pink Floyd albums go, I think Meddle is overrated. Good to see some love for a newer album in OK Computer which is bloody brilliant. Don't know anything about that Bjork album. That one seems a bit odd for Geddy

Strange Genesis choice, I think Selling England by the Pound is a much better album than Nursery Cryme and has much more overall acclaim, and deservedly so. Unless he just really likes the Musical Box.

Bjork caught me off guard there.

Actually, Geddy has been a big fan of hers for many years.

I never knew that.

In the early or mid 80s he picked 3 favorites:

The Peter Gabriel album with Games Without Frontiers
Yes - Relayer
Talking Heads - Remain in Light

I'd be more interested in knowing what Alex thinks is good

Why?

Because Alex is my favorite and always has been. Plus he's a guitarist, what rock music is really centered around...not really interested in what Geddy or Neil "Let-me-discuss-my-point-of-view-in-toto" Peart likes.

I'm sure that if there was an Alex list, he would have wanted a Geddy list instead.

If he likes Bjork, I wonder if he likes Homogenic? That's probably her best album. What caught me more off guard was Radiohead.

Yeah, I've heard and read many interviews with him giving the highest praise to Bjork.

I remember him saying that he liked the Cure once upon a time. I saw the Fleet Foxes at Massey Hall last summer. They are one of my favorite bands as well.

Alex would be mistaken with his album list. Every time he opens his mouth on tape with information of any kind it tends to be false. We would probably see some Katy Perry and Justin Timberlake just because he decided to get it wrong. tongue.gif
