Some people had a listen to CA, because they received the Classic Rock fanpack, or had a friend that is a journalist, or... One of them said "Song A is the best, while song F is the worst" Another said "No, song C is the best, song A is just good, song H is a filler" Another said "Nooo! Song H is my favourite!" Etcetera So, probably, all 12 songs are really good. How many of the most recent Rush records you need to set a compilation of 12 songs that can beat CA? if you think that every single song on CA deserves a 7/10, and that only i.e. 7 songs off S&A deserve a 7/10, you need 5 songs off VT to make a list of 12 songs that deserve a 7/10, so you'll answer "S&A and VT"... For example, I think my favorite songs on S&A I might like more than my favorite songs on CA (too early to really tell), and the worst songs on S&A might be worse than the lesser songs on CA (too early to really tell). CA is probably more consistent than S&A, but whether I would rate it higher as a whole package remains to be seen. And I seriously dislike the two albums prior to S&A, so if I end up thinking CA is better as a whole than the 3 albums that came before it, that isn't really saying a tremendous amount to me as those first two are completely expendable to me. I like CA for it's own merits, much like I like S&A?!?! It's a stand alone object, in and of itself....it's like comparing apples to Volkswagons?!?! English not being your native lanuguage might be an issue but it seems to me this maybe one of those ideas you get in your heads that sounds good, but when you try to explain it in words it doesn't make sense.
