  1. Well, my entire childhood growing, all my Uncle ever did was rant and rave about the god damn lasers and this got me so worked up to finally see them. Then I go see them on this tour for the first time and they get rid of the lasers. Oh well.
  2. I've listened to the album 7 times so far. As of right now, I'm going to take a break since I don't want to burn out on it.
  3. In my eyes, they never needed redemption.
  4. Hell no. I bought my tickets weeks ago. Its Rush, that's the only thing I need to know.
  5. They deserve to be number 1. Adele needs to back off.
  6. "Sometimes the angels punish us, by answering our prayers" One of my favorite lines on the album.
  7. The interview was great all the way through until the end when Billy went fan boy and was like "wouldn't it be so great If smashing Pumpkins would open for you" and Geddy and Alex are like "ah, yeah that would be really cool and stuff... we're gonna go now" Now as a fan of both bands, I would be all for the idea if Smashing Pumpkins would play old-school material, but Billy already let the cat out of the bag and said that he was playing the ENTIRE new album on tour, so I don't really want to sit through that.
  8. Clockwork Angels is an A+ album Snakes and Arrows is an A- album
  9. Wish you well may be lackluster, but its a least its a song. BU2B2 is just completely unnecessary. Whatever it is.
  10. Well I love every Rush album anyway (except Presto) so I guess my passion is exactly where its always been, at its maximum.
  11. The song is definitely a grower. There's just so much going on to process all on the first listen. I do really like it though. Its dynamic, but in a chill, laid-back sort of way.
  12. 1. Carnies 2. The Wreckers 3. Seven cities of Gold All three would be viable singles
  13. I feel great about myself. I make no excuses or justifications and have no regrets. I feel fantastic.
  14. Everyone as a collective unit would probably see better and be more comfortable if everyone would stay seated. But this is all just a pipe dream, just like in school when everybody said they would fail the test on purpose so that way everyone would pass on the curve. Its something that will never happen, because it just takes one person to stand up and then suddenly everyone is standing. The view always looks great before everyone stands up. When they do stand up I feel like a sardine that has to stand on their tippy toes for 3 hours. When I saw Dream Theater, miraculously enough, everyone stayed seated during the opening act and it WAS FANTASTIC. It was comfortably and the view was perfect. In short everyone should just sit down and enjoy the show. I think another major problem is people holding their damn Iphone over their head right front of my face for the whole 2 hour concert blocking my view. God that's annoying. I don't mind them getting 30 seconds to have sentimental value, but recording the whole damn concert is unnecessary.
  15. They can play all of it except BU2B2 and Wish them Well.
  16. My favorite part is all of it.
  17. Best album since Power Windows. Don't know what else to say besides that.

    Best Buy $9.99

I was gonna just do Itunes, but something about this seems significant enough to actually buy the physical copy. For the first time in a long time I actually want to hold it in my hands and read through the lyrics as I listen. and the album will look nice sitting next to the novel once I buy that.
  19. Last night it was The Garden and Clockwork angels Today its the anarchist.
  20. QUOTE (SchemingDemon @ Jun 5 2012, 07:28 PM) I'll get the audiobook because Neil's narrating it Well, I guess I'm getting the audiobook now too.
  21. I wasn't going to originally, but I love the album so much that I don't think I can resist.
  22. Finally, I can start to understand the story.
  23. Clockwork angels sounds perfect to me.
