And the people that dress like that dont often listen to stuff like Rush. They listen to a lot of underground bands. When I first saw this thread I though, wow that would be hard to pull off but maybe it would be cool! It's like a vision of alternate reality where modern technology, fashion, language - everything retains a lot of the old Victorian look and feel and technology. From steam power to old fashioned cogs and springs on powering devices, right down to the old fashioned way of dressing, old fashioned type marketing, you name it. There are other photos of them hanging all over each other like that. You could do that kind of stuff back then and it was just seen as goofing around. At least if you were high.
