Julian Sands gives me the creeps anyway (remember his pimp turn in Leaving Las Vegas) but he takes the cake for this sicko. Can you imagine? JULIAN SANDS WAS A HOTTIE IN ROSE RED!! QUOTE Boogie Nights Donnie Darko and American Beauty are 3 of many for me test, i just watched (most of) Donnie Darko tonight, & boy was it strange. couldn't follow most of it. i got to the part where Donnie burns down the child-porn-guy's house, but had to leave after that..i'm thinking i missed a lot! Frank was pretty cool. pretty creepy, especially in that movie theater scene, but still pretty awesome. i bet the dude in the bunny suit looked really good without his eye poked! Midway Hawker
I just watched Donnie Darko... Very weird, very dark.. Very confusing.. I guess this movie is suppose to leave you guessing at the end. I think I know what they want us to think, but is that what really happened? Strange indeed.
circumstantial tree
A movie which I absolutely love which could be considered "weird" I suppose is "Chain of Desire". Great film!

Midway Hawker
Just watched "Memento" last night for the first time. I'm still going today... Will have to watch that a few times and even then it probably still won't make sense.... I heard that there was a version of Memento that shows everything in Chronological order.. That would be worth seeing.

plodder
I'm a great fan of Peter Greenaway's films. A Zed and Two Noughts Drowning By Numbers The Cook, The Thief, His Wife and Her Lover All have dark and sinister themes running through them. He is an aquired taste though. Like Guinness you either love him or hate him.
Necromancer
Salton Sea is excellent. A very incredible movie that I could never understand why it didn't do better at the box office. There's another movie with Val where he's a sleeper agent on a mission to kill the president. He thinks he's uncovering the plot but finds out that he IS the plot. Blind Horizon i believe it is called. I also love Johnny Darko. I have to watch it again though. It's the kind of movie that requires a second viewing. And i'm surprised that any of these movies have been mentioned yet: Resevoir Dogs Kill Bill (both volumes) From Dusk till Dawn Pulp Fiction I mean... Quentin personifies this type of movie, eh? pixey
How can I add any movies to this list!! All of the best ones have been mentioned! Rivers Edge Salton Sea Heathers Blue Velvet Memento Clockwork Orange and so on! All brilliant films! Apocolypse Now Gothica, I really liked this one. Miniority Report, though it has Tom Cruise I did enjoy the premise. Usual Suspects Most of those movies are pretty Mainstream but worth the nod. I will have to think longer on this one because I love these types of movies and have seen many of them. Also I now have some new ones on my rental list. Yeah, it's easily one of the most disturbing movies ever made. Bet you'll never listen to Huey Lewis & The News the same way again. Or Phil Collins.
