  1. That was really fun seeing that with you and Robin.
  2. QUOTE (rushgoober @ Nov 14 2007, 06:47 PM)QUOTE (Grandpa Grizz @ Nov 14 2007, 05:31 PM) Star Trek is iconic of it's era, the sixties, a time of dreams. This loving update in quality will insure it's endurance as a time capsule for future generations. That... that's beautiful! Oh, shut up!
  3. They really did a good job on this, and I highly approve. The purists always have the original DVD version, and the rest of us have a picture that is free from scratches and has vibrant color and deeper contrast. It's much more 3-D and the closeups are stunning. In The Menagerie the Cage scenes that are viewed on the Enterprise monitor are the old picture that suddenly becomes the new picture once the monitor frame disappears. That really highlights the difference. The old exterior special effects simply wouldn't work with the vastly improved picture. As was pointed out in the 'remastering of' featurette, the effects would have been done this way originally if they had had the technology. Star Trek is iconic of it's era, the sixties, a time of dreams. This loving update in quality will insure it's endurance as a time capsule for future generations.
  4. Here's the link to find the theaters where it is playing tomorrow night, Thurs Nov 15. And yes, it is playing in Canada as well. http://www.fathomevents.com/details.aspx?eventid=690
  5. QUOTE (rushgoober @ Dec 29 2006, 01:26 PM)Yes, Quiet Sun was Phil Manzanera's band. It also included one Brian Eno as well. How many Brian Enos are there?
  6. The Trees? I told you to play In The End. You done good, Goobie.
  7. QUOTE (rushgoober @ Dec 18 2006, 11:37 AM)QUOTE (launchpad67a @ Dec 18 2006, 08:18 AM) Careful Goob, After 1 day of your strange music, they will force you to play Celine Dion and Air Supply non-stop until Clay Aiken and William Hung show up in dresses and do a duet of "She Bangs" !! Somehow, I doubt it. No, this station is very open-minded, community based and non-commercial. I think if someone played Air Supply and Celine Dion they'd be politely asked to leave. Actually, Goob, there's a city ordinance against those particular artists. One can only listen to them on headphones. Looking forward to your first show today!
  8. I've often thought it could be just as easily titled Lerxst and Ged's Excellent Adventure.
  9. As Good As It Gets is as good as it gets.

  11. There is also a photo of Geddy and his daughter around somewhere, but I don't have it.
